
Dane Menzies Tops Snowboarding Slopestyle Qualifying, Full Men's Results from Olympics 2026
New Zealand's Dane Menzies took the top spot in men's snowboard slopestyle qualification on Sunday.
Menzies produced a score of 86.06 in his first run that was not touched by any other athlete in the field during the two-run qualifying.
A trio of Americans, led by teenager Oliver Martin, finished in the top 12 to advance to Wednesday's final.

Dane Menzies earned the best score across the two men's qualifying runs with his 86.06 from the first run.
Menzies' qualifying score was close to five points better than the rest of the competition.
Norway's Marcus Kleveland, Canada's Mark McMorris and Japan's Ryoma Kimata were the other three athletes to earn scores above 80.
Of the four, McMorris is the primary name to watch in the final. McMorris is a three-time bronze medalist in slopestyle and he's coming off a gold medal at the 2026 X-Games.
Two other previous slopestyle medalists are in the 12-man final field. Red Gerard of the United States, the 2018 gold medalist, qualified 11th, while 2022 silver medalist Yiming Su was eighth.
Gerard is one of three Americans who will compete in the final. Oliver Martin, who also a finalist in big air in his first Olympics, came in sixth. Jake Canter, who has a FIS World Cup victory in slopestyle this season, was one spot ahead of Gerard in 10th.
