Team USA then added a silver medal on Tuesday afternoon in mixed doubles curling, while Ashley Farquharson captured bronze in the women's singles luge.

Still, Norway owns a commanding edge in gold medals after Tuesday events. Norway is also one ahead of host nation Italy for the most overall medals.

New Zealand's Luca Harrington crushed his third run to slide into the bronze medal position behind Ruud and Hall.

The winningest nation in biathlon history claimed two more medals on Tuesday.

Johan-Olav Botn claimed gold for Norway, while his fellow countryman Sturla Holm Laegreid took bronze.

The gold-bronze finish marked the second time at the Milan Cortina Games in which Norway placed two athletes on the podium of the same event.

We should expect a few more of those occurrences in the remaining biathlon and cross-country skiing events given Norway's historical dominance in both sports.

Alpine Skiing - Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics: Day 4

Gold: Austria (Raedler/Huber) - 2:21.66

Silver: Germany (Weidle-Winkelmann/Aicher) - 2:21.71

Bronze: United States (Wiles/Moltzan) - 2:21.91

Austria pulled off an upset in the women's team combined event.

Team USA entered the slalom portion of the event in first after Breezy Johnson won the downhill portion. Mikaela Shiffrin was unable to keep the pairing in first. Shiffrin's slalom time put the top American team in fourth.

The No. 2 United States duo of Jacqueline Wiles and Paula Moltzan did claim bronze. Both athletes produced the fourth-best time in their respective events.

Austria's Ariane Raedler and Katharina Huber edged out the Germany pair of Kira Weidle-Winkelmann and Emma Aicher by five-hundredths of a second.

Raedler turned in the second-best downhill time behind Johnson. Huber's 10th-best slalom time was enough to position Austria at the top.

Aicher's chart-topping slalom time allowed Germany to move from sixth to second in the overall standings.

Curling - Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics: Day 4

Gold: Sweden

Silver: United States

Bronze: Italy

The gold-medal match between Sweden and the United States came down to the final throw in the final end, but the sibling duo of Isabella Wranna and Rasmus Wranna delivered in the biggest moment.

They knocked out one of the United States' stones and kept theirs in for a two-point end to capture the gold with a 6-5 victory. Had the throw been even slightly off, the Americans (Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin) were in position to take home the gold.

Elsewhere, Italy gave the home crowd something to cheer about with a 5-3 win over Great Britain in the bronze-medal game.

While there wasn't a single multi-point end, the Italy combination of Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner was solid throughout the contest and did enough to take home a medal.
