WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around Brock Lesnar, Undertaker and More
Top billing goes to Brock Lesnar and Undertaker both at SummerSlam 2015 and in the week's biggest WWE rumors.
For Lesnar, rumblings are traveling across the Internet about an unexpected gimmick that was reportedly pitched for him years ago. Thinking of how different The Beast Incarnate's career could have gone had WWE gone that route is mind-boggling.
It's much easier to wrap one's mind around the Undertaker story floating around. Apparently, WWE has plans for him post-SummerSlam. While that's not his usual WrestleMania-only schedule, it's not shocking. He remains a figure fans are drawn to.

Other WWE rumors focus on why Paige got the nod to be a guest on Steve Austin's podcast and what TV show is looking to add Chyna to the cast.
The Deadman Sticking Around
Don't bet on Undertaker slipping back into the darkness after he battles Lesnar at SummerSlam. WWE seems to have some plans for him ahead.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com writes, "We are hearing Undertaker will be appearing on at least one Raw post-Summerslam, possibly more."
One would assume the guaranteed spot on Raw would come on the night after SummerSlam. Post-pay-per-view shows usually lead to big ratings, and having Undertaker around would help that. Plus, it makes sense for Undertaker to either speak about how he conquered Lesnar the night before or for him to address his SummerSlam loss.
He may then be setting up something for Survivor Series, believe it or not. In an article on WWE.com, Matthew Artus wrote, "This edition of WWE's fall classic will also mark the 25th anniversary of The Undertaker's debut in WWE, as well as the first time the WWE Universe witnessed him earn his way into the winner's circle."
While far from a confirmation of anything, this smells like a tease of Undertaker coming back to the PPV where his career began. At the very least, it will be enough to get rumors to that end started.
Paige Not WWE's First Choice?
Steve Austin interviewed Paige after Monday's Raw in his latest live edition of his podcast. The fact that Paige earned that spot surprised many. After all, Austin's previous guests (Triple H, Vince McMahon) are in a whole other stratosphere.
One report points to a believable reason she got the call.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t PWMania.com), Hulk Hogan was originally slated to be Austin's guest on the podcast. In light of the controversy surrounding the now-shunned Superstar, WWE went with Paige instead.
This makes sense, as having Paige on as a guest allowed WWE to plug Tough Enough, just as it likely would have done with Hogan. And if WWE was left scrambling for a guest after distancing itself from Hogan, an active member of the roster rather than a guy on a legend's contract such as Shawn Michaels or Ric Flair would be easier to get to sit opposite Austin.
Chyna Rumored to Be in Talks for TV Show
If seeing Chyna's YouTube videos aren't doing it for fans of the former WWE women's champ, they might soon be in luck. She could be back on reality television.

The producers for the United Kingdom version of Celebrity Big Brother are rumored to be discussing adding Chyna to the show. Ed Gleave reports for the Daily Star: "Bosses are in advanced talks with American WWE star Chyna."
This comes from a tabloid. So don't forget your grain of salt.
It's certainly conceivable that reality show producers would want someone like Chyna aboard. She has the kind of big personality and unpredictable behavior that fuels this kind of TV.
There just haven't been any other outlets uncovering this info. All the current reports use the Daily Star as their source. Wait for this to be confirmed by a non-tabloid before assuming it to be true.
Brock Lesnar, The Gay Beast Incarnate?
It's hard to imagine, but apparently, the idea was at least offered up that Lesnar play a homosexual character.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestle Zone) reports that Brian Solomon of WWE Magazine and another writer pitched the company the idea of Lesnar playing an ass-kicking gay character. The idea reportedly made it far as the writer's room before getting shot down.
Former WWE writer Seth Mates chimed in on Twitter. He said that some of the facts of the story are incorrect but that "there was such a pitch."
"ANYONE within WWE could pitch ideas to creative; just because they did does not mean that certain ideas were ever actually on the table
— Seth Mates (@SethMates) July 30, 2015"
"Some bad info out there today, including the names of those who did pitch, when it was done, etc ... though yes, there was such a pitch
— Seth Mates (@SethMates) July 30, 2015"
All sorts of ideas, both good and bad, have to be swirling around that writer's room. It's conceivable that someone would have had this vision for Lesnar, as outside-the-box as it may have been.
Who knows what thoughts writers fire off in brainstorm sessions?
Going with a gay gladiator in Lesnar in 2002 would have been a make-or-break move. It certainly would have had people talking.
