Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker 2 Will Top Their WrestleMania 30 Match
Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker is a match many fans perhaps believed would not happen again anytime soon. Their bout at WrestleMania 30 felt like the end: The Beast Incarnate laid the Undertaker's undefeated streak to rest, and The Deadman was not seen again until a year later at WrestleMania 31.
But now the rematch is coming up at SummerSlam, and as epic as the first round was, this one promises to be even bigger.
Revisiting this rivalry likely seemed to be an impossibility for many fans who saw Taker go down 15 months ago. The match ended with a clean finish, and though it was unquestionably a shocker, it closed the book on not only the streak but also the heat between the two men.

Rising Stars Who Deserve Major Push 😤
However, there was unfinished business after all, and now The Phenom is back to silence the man who took him down at WrestleMania. The difference this time is the challenge to top the first match.
It's a challenge both men are up for. Lesnar and Taker know what it takes to compete at the main event level. They're both also accustomed to big fights, and this one definitely qualifies. Indeed, this may be the most important chapter in their rivalry to this point.
This match will be different from last year, which saw a cocky and arrogant Lesnar as a top heel out to prove he was the alpha male of WWE. Paul Heyman sang his praises as Lesnar attempted to fight off the otherworldly threat that is The Undertaker.
The Undertaker was on the offensive during much of their feud, getting the best of Lesnar every time they faced off on Raw. It seemed like the usual buildup for a Taker match, and when WrestleMania 30 finally took place, everything seemed to be right on track.
But Taker himself did not seem to be on his game. The mohawk, the move set—nothing seemed to click for him. He appeared to be a shade of his former self. Though he had come in with all the momentum any WWE Superstar could hope to have, the outcome was perhaps too easy and not compelling.

Lesnar's win over Taker that night changed everything. It turned WWE upside down and put Lesnar on a path to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Deadman disappeared again, and by the time he returned against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31, he looked 10 years younger.
His ring work was back on track, and physically, it was as if he had stepped back in time. Beating Wyatt was a way for him to erase at least some of WrestleMania 30's bad memories from the minds of fans. Now, it's back to the war with Lesnar.
This is the match that will see each man ramp up the aggression and bring more attitude and more intensity than anyone dreamed possible. This match is not about the streak, and it's not about trying to see who's better; it's about revenge and sheer brutality.
If this match were taking place during the Attitude Era, it would have included blood and big moves that could potentially bust up both guys. This match will not delete the result of WrestleMania 30, but it may replace it in terms of entertainment value and benefits for both men.
Undertaker needs redemption; he needs to prove that the loss at last year's Mania was not his career-defining moment. He will come out strong, he will fight like he has not fought in years, and he will leave it all in the ring. When the final bell tolls, fans will know they got the best of The Deadman and that he once again delivered on every possible level.
Lesnar is coming into this one as the man who was the top babyface of WWE. He had no real physical challenge, and no Superstar could touch him in terms of ability and tenacity in the ring. But being faced with Undertaker's return changed Lesnar, and now he is on the defensive like never before.
Lesnar needs this win, not only to prove he has Taker's number but also to prove he will not be attacked and bested by a man he's already beaten. Taker has risen from the ashes, but Lesnar cannot allow him to shine at SummerSlam, or it could undo the win from last year.
Both men know what this match means to fans. They need to bring everything they have to show it's more than just a shot to increase ratings and more than just a payday on the main event stage. They need to turn back the clock, take off the gloves and steal the show.
They are considered two of the most intense big-fight performers in WWE history for a reason, and they will prove it at SummerSlam.
