National Signing Day 2026 Top Unsigned Recruits to Watch

Kristopher KnoxFeb 1, 2026

The 2026 college football recruiting cycle is nearly complete. The vast majority of top 2026 recruits have already signed, and most top programs are already focused on the 2027 class.

Only one of the top 200 recruits in the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports' composite rankings, remains unsigned.

Of course, plenty can and likely will change before the 2026 season actually gets underway. Many players have already changed commitments since the early national signing period, and a few top recruits remain unsigned heading into Wednesday's regular national signing day.

Dylan Berymon, DL, Ouachita Parish

4-star defensive lineman Dylan Beerymon of Ouachita Parish High School (Monroe, LA) is the recruit to watch in the coming days. He is the only top-200 prospect still unsigned and the biggest name who has yet to make a commitment.

Berymon is back in the recruiting pool after decommitting from Texas in November. At least publicly, he has narrowed his choices down to two finalists.

"Right now, it is going to be between Kentucky and Nebraska," Berymon told Rivals' Chad Simmons in December.

According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals and On3, Berymon plans to announce his decision on Wednesday. Nebraska would appear to be the front-runner after Berymon had another visit with Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule. Discounting the Wildcats at this stage, however, would be unwise.

Andre Clarke Jr., CB, Hermitage

Led by new head coach Will Stein, Kentucky has made some noise late in the recruiting cycle. The Wildcats recently flipped cornerback Andre Clarke Jr. of Hermitage (Richmond, VA), the 210th-ranked prospect on 247Sports' rankings.

Clarke had been committed to Michigan. According to ESPN's Eli Lederman, though, coaching changes in Ann Arbor caused Clarke to reevaluate his future:

"Sources told ESPN that the Wolverines' decision not to retain defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan under new coach Kyle Whittingham was a driving factor in Clarke's decision to explore options elsewhere."

While Clarke is now committed to Kentucky, he has yet to officially sign. Other programs will continue to pursue him until he does. According to Lederman, Colorado and Virginia Tech were also "in the mix" for Clarke.

Teddy Jarrard, QB, North Cobb

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 22 Syracuse at Notre Dame

Teddy Jarrard of North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA) is the top unsigned quarterback in the 2026 cycle. He's been committed to Notre Dame since last summer, but the 4-star signal-caller has yet to sign.

Jarrard also recently reclassified from the 2027 to the 2026 class.

According to Rivals' Chad Simmons, Jarrard plans to sign with the Irish in February but is still being pursued by Georgia and Indiana. 247Sports' Tom Loy has also reported that the Bulldogs and Hoosiers are still hoping to flip Jarrard before he makes anything official.

It's easy to see why a team like the reigning national champion would be interested in the 6'3" Jarrard. Craig Haubert and Tom Luginbill of ESPN recently named him as having the "Most NFL Upside" among 2026 QBs.

Expect Jarrard to generate plenty of buzz this week.

Elijah Reeder, Edge, Central Regional

Nebraska v Penn State

Elijah Reeder is the 255th-ranked prospect on 247Sports' board, and he remains unsigned but committed to Penn State.

The 3-star edge-rusher from Central Regional (Bayville, NJ) was originally committed to Iowa State. Of course, when head coach Matt Campbell left the Cyclones for the Nittany Lions, recruits followed. Reeder appears to be one of them. He was released from his letter of intent and quickly moved to evaluate Penn State in December.

"I talked to coach Campbell on Saturday," Reeder said in mid-December, per Brian Dohn of 247Sports. "I have not officially committed on anything but I plan on visiting the school in early January."

Reeder announced his commitment to Penn State on January 21.

Nothing is official yet, but fans should expect Reeder to put pen to paper with the Nittany Lions this week.
