Tiger Woods, LeBron James Dual Autograph Patch Card Sells for Record $552K at Auction
A new record was set Friday for the most-expensive Tiger Woods card ever sold at auction when his 2009 Upper Deck Exquisite dual autograph and patch card with NBA legend LeBron James sold for over a half-million dollars.
According to Larry Holder of The Athletic, the card—which is numbered 2/3 and graded an 8.5 out of 10 by Beckett—sold for $552,000 through Fanatics Collect when factoring in the buyer's premium.

In addition to their autographs, the card includes a piece of a tournament-worn shirt from Woods and a piece of a game-worn Cleveland Cavaliers jersey from James.
Adding to the uniqueness of the card is the fact that both Woods and James inscribed their shared birth dates. Woods wrote, "12/30/75" and James wrote, "12-30-84," marking the only one of the three 2009 Upper Deck Exquisite cards to include those inscriptions.
Per Holder, the previous record for a Woods card sale was $336,000 for a gem-mint PSA 10 version of his 2001 Upper Deck SP Authentic gold autographed rookie card. That sale occurred in March 2021.
An argument can be made that Woods and James are the greatest athletes of all time in their respective sports.
Woods' 15 career major championships are the second-most in the history of golf, while his 82 PGA Tour wins are tied for the most of all time.
James is a four-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA champion and four-time NBA Finals MVP, and he is also the league's all-time leader in career points scored.
