Latest News on Tyler Herro's Timeline to Return from Rib Injury Ahead Heat vs. Warriors
The Miami Heat begin a five-game road trip Monday, but they will reportedly be without Tyler Herro.
Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reported Monday that an MRI revealed a costochondral issue with Herro's ribs, meaning he is "unlikely to join the team" on the road trip with an official timeline yet to be determined.
Herro has dealt with various injuries this season, including to his ankle and foot. He underwent surgery and didn't make his season debut until Nov. 24.

The Kentucky product has played just 11 of Miami's 42 games this season after playing 77 games during the 2024-25 campaign. He made the All-Star Game for the first time in his career last season and was surely looking to build on that in 2025-26.
Instead, injuries have been the biggest storyline of his season.
Miami has largely managed to tread water in his absence and is 22-20 and in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. While that is in play-in tournament position, the team is also just one game behind the sixth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers with plenty of time to make up ground.
That will be easier said than done, though, with Herro once again sidelined.
He has averaged 21.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in those 11 contests while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from deep. He remains one of the Heat's go-to offensive options when he is on the floor, so they will need to find offense elsewhere during the road trip.
Look for Norman Powell to carry even more of the offensive responsibility.
