What Is Tyler Herro's Injury Status for Heat vs. Cooper Flagg, Mavs This Week?
After spending the last few months rehabbing an ankle surgery, Tyler Herro is set to make his season debut.
Per ESPN's Shams Charania, the Miami Heat star will suit up for Monday's home contest against the Dallas Mavericks, "barring setbacks."
Charania reported in September that Herro would undergo surgery on his left foot after suffering an injury during an offseason workout. Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald noted that ankle/foot impingement had been an issue since the middle of the summer, and he initially received PRP and cortisone injections to avoid surgery.

Ultimately, surgery was deemed the best option to avoid long-term issues, and the Heat had to begin the season without their star.
Herro is coming off the best season of his career in which he recorded 23.9 points, 5.5 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game, helping Miami reach the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season. After earning his first All-Star nod last year, Herro is hoping to continue that kind of play this season.
Though the Heat have been without Herro, they've managed to start the season strong, winning their fourth consecutive game to improve to 11-6 on Sunday.
The success is largely thanks to stellar play from offseason addition Norm Powell, who is posting 24.9 points per game. Bam Adebayo is also playing well, putting up 19.7 points and 7.9 boards per game.
While the Heat aren't exactly a favorite to win a championship this year, a trio of Herro, Adebayo and Powell could very be competitive in a relatively weak Eastern Conference this year.
