Bryson DeChambeau Teases Possible YouTube Career Plans After LIV Contract Expires at End of 2026

Bryson DeChambeau indicated he's considering playing golf exclusively for YouTube and major championships after his LIV Golf contract expires after the 2026 season.

According to Front Office Sports' David Rumsey, DeChambeau said Wednesday he feels he could succeed by turning his attention to his YouTube channel.

"That's an incredibly viable option, I'll tell you that," DeChambeau said about YouTube, per Rumsey.

DeChambeau has 2.57 million subscribers on YouTube, where he posts videos such as course record attempts or competitions to break 50 with celebrities like Stephen Curry and Adam Sandler.

He told Rumsey he sometimes attempts these challenges directly before participating in a major.

"Doing the course record series, and playing Break 50s, it does keep me quite dialed in for tournament golf," DeChambeau told Rumsey. "That is why I do it right before competition. So, it's a possibility. The financial opportunities are there, and I'm excited to see what comes in the future."

DeChambeau currently holds an exemption for all the major tournaments after winning the 2024 U.S. Open.

His comments to Rumsey were made shortly after Brooks Koepka paid a steep financial penalty to make the jump back from LIV Golf to the PGA Tour.

The PGA Tour also recently announced that high-profile LIV players interested in tour reinstatement could apply through the Returning Member Program.

The program applied only to LIV players who won a major or The Players Championship between 2022 and 2025, a qualification which applied only to DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith.

All three players have since confirmed they will be playing for LIV Golf this season, although DeChambeau opened up the possibility of change in 2027 by noting he is "contracted through 2026."

DeChambeau's five-year major championship exemption means he will still be able to compete in the Masters Tournament when it takes place at Augusta National this April.
