Dominik Mysterio was absent from Monday night's episode of Raw following an injury scare, but a new report suggests his ailment may not be serious.
According to BodySlam.net (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), Dirty Dom is in "good spirits," and WWE is "just being cautious with him."
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News) previously reported that Mysterio appeared to injury his shoulder during a tag team match that pitted him and El Grande Americano against Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix at AAA Guerra de Titanes on Dec. 20.
Dominik had been advertised to wrestle at the Dec. 26 WWE live event in Baltimore, but he did not appear, which led to a great deal of speculation regarding the severity of his injury.
On this week's Raw, Liv Morgan said Dom was on the shelf, and it was later confirmed by the announce team that he would be out "indefinitely."
No firm timetable has been provided for Mysterio's return, but with the Royal Rumble about one month away, perhaps there is a chance WWE will hold him out until then even if he is cleared earlier than that.
Fatu's Reported WWE Return Timeline
After being out of action for the past few months, Jacob Fatu's return reportedly could be on the horizon.
According to BodySlam.net (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), Fatu is expected to return "in the early stages of 2026" after undergoing dental surgery, and WWE is hopeful he will have a "breakthrough year."
Fatu has not been seen on WWE programming since October when he got attacked prior to a scheduled match against Drew McIntyre on an episode of SmackDown. The winner would have gone on to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
The Samoan Werewolf was shown next to a pool of his own blood and a pile of his teeth, prompting Rhodes to confront McIntyre and accuse him of being behind the assault.
While October marked Fatu's last televised appearance, he hasn't wrestled a match of any kind since September and hasn't had a televised match since August.
That means WWE has been without one of its most popular and fastest-rising babyfaces for multiple months at this point.
Fatu's absence has undoubtedly curtailed the significant momentum he was building before landing on the shelf, but it shouldn't take much to get him back on track once he returns.
The Royal Rumble premium live event is set for the end of January, and if Fatu is back by then, a dominant performance in the men's Rumble match would go a long way toward re-establishing him as a top guy in the making.
Latest on Gable's Potential Return to WWE Programming
A huge return reportedly could be in the works for next week's episode of Raw in Brooklyn, New York, which will be the first of 2026.
According to PWInsider Elite's Mike Johnson (h/t WrestlePurists), some sources expect Gable to be back in action as soon as next week's Raw.
Gable has not been seen on WWE programming since June, and it was later confirmed by Gable in an Instagram post in July that underwent shoulder surgery.
One of Gable's final matches before landing on the shelf was a celebrated clash with El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship at Worlds Collide on June 7.
He later faced AJ Styles on the June 9 episode of Raw, and then competed as El Grande Americano in a WWE Speed match.
Gable was written off TV when Penta attacked him backstage and took him out with an armbreaker, so the stage could potentially be set for Gable to get his revenge.
Penta returned this week on Raw after missing time with an injury of his own, as he saved Rey Mysterio from an attack at the hands of The Vision.
With Penta back in the fold, it would be the perfect time for Gable to resurface and gain some retribution.
