Washington Redskins Covering Removed Seats with Temporary Walls, Branding
FedEx Field is currently in the midst of a partial makeover of some kind.
As the Washington Post's Dan Steinberg and Scott Allen noted in June, the exact nature of the changes underway remains unknown, but it's led to the removal of several thousand seats from the top of the stadium's 400 level.
How the Washington Redskins planned on covering these stretches of bare concrete was unknown until Tuesday, when the stadium played host to an international friendly between Chelsea and Barcelona.

Shots from the game show the Redskins' chosen cloaking device: a giant, FedEx-braned Tetris block snaking along the top of the stadium.

Steinberg notes the walls appear to be fabric and, judging by pictures taken during the match (Chelsea won 4-2), just barely avoid obscuring fans' view on the upper deck.

Dan is on Twitter. He's not going anywhere near Dan Snyder's Scooby-Doo ghost town in the upper deck.
