Jake Paul Responds to Viral Post On $92M Payday, Broken Jaw After Anthony Joshua KO

Paul KasabianDec 20, 2025

Jake Paul may have a broken jaw after being knocked out in the sixth round of his boxing match with Anthony Joshua on Friday evening, but a major payday appears to be the best medicine, per his response to this viral post on X Saturday.

Joshua hit Paul with a combination before knocking him down in the corner with a strong right hand.

Afterward, Paul told combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani that he believed his jaw was broken.

It's not entirely clear how much Paul made from the fight. The $92 million figure (per fighter) has been mentioned in the past via a $184 million total purse. It's possible it may not be that large, though.

Wajih AlBaroudi of USA Today's For The Win provided some clarity, writing:

"The Daily Mail reported in November that the purse for the fight, which will stream on Netflix, is around $184 million. Paul chimed in days later with a number of his own, claiming on X that the purse is actually $267 million.

"Neither figure has been confirmed, though odds are it's on the lower end based on Anthony Joshua's comments this week. When asked whether his payout will surpass the career-high $52 million he made for fighting Francis Ngannou last March, Joshua said, 'Unfortunately, it's not,' per Sporting News."

Ultimately, Paul probably made well into the eight figures for this fight, and it's clear he doesn't care much that he suffered a broken jaw. He also took a good deal of punishment, with Joshua landing 48 punches to Paul's 16, per CompuBox.

With the lucrative loss, Paul is now 12-2 lifetime with seven knockouts.
