Why It's Obvious Who Will Rule WWE in 2026, Liv Morgan on Fire, More WWE Raw Fallout
Following Survivor Series: WarGames, the December 1 edition of Raw on Netflix featured tournament semifinals and challengers vying for championship opportunities at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
Gunther defeated Solo Sikoa while LA Knight caught Jey Uso to make the finals of The Last Time is Now Tournament. The two will collide on SmackDown to earn the right to be John Cena's final opponent.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss faced Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky to determine who would be next up to challenge The Kabuki Warriors, but multiple tag teams got involved to cause a no-contest.
Liv Morgan took back over The Judgment Day, celebrating Dominik Mysterio's latest win and helping Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez stand tall to end Raw.
Bron Breakker called out CM Punk after pinning him in WarGames, demanding his opportunity on the January 5, 2026 episode of Raw.
2026 Will Be the Year of Bron Breakker
1 of 4Bron Breakker delivered the promo of his career when it mattered most, selling why he must be the one to dethrone world heavyweight champion CM Punk.
The entire time he spoke, it was clear he was delivering the promo that would be played in highlight reels for years to come.
At the end, he made clear his goal was to start off 2026 by capturing the World Heavyweight Championship, and who is going to deny him that chance?
On a roster loaded with wrestlers well over 40 years old, the 28-year-old is one of the only young stars who seems genuinely ready to carry WWE forward.
Breakker is the one man on this roster giving off Roman Reigns or John Cena energy. He has face-of-the-business upside as long as the company capitalizes right away.
It would be a mistake for WWE to wait. Even if the first match between them is inconclusive, WrestleMania 42 is the hard deadline to capitalize on The Badass' momentum.
Jey Uso is Finally Interesting Again
2 of 4
In the midst of a brutal, personal battle inside the WarGames cage, Jey Uso wasted a valuable moment before Brock Lesnar arrived to "Yeet" with the crowd.
It was the low point of a cage match that never lived up to its billing as a clash between the top stars in the business.
In this way and many others, Main Event has gone from rising top star to running joke despite his position near the main event picture.
This should be changing quickly based on his reaction to losing to LA Knight in The Last is Now Tournament.
This was not the fun-loving star who took everything in stride. It was the former world champion that was getting sick of losing in big spots.
This is the answer to what Jey needs to do in order to become interesting again.
While he can still play to the crowd at times, he needs to start taking the opportunities he is presented in WWE seriously.
Otherwise, Uso will never believably stand next to Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk and look like he belongs.
Gunther Helps Solo Sikoa to Career-Best Performance
3 of 4
Few men have the reliable in-ring ability of Gunther. He is the type of star who can get the most out of any opponent.
While Solo Sikoa has been a reliable name for WWE, he has struggled to deliver in the ring against the top names in the business.
This was different. Not only did he deliver a good match with The Ring General, but he also looked more like a top-level threat than he has in a long time.
All around, this was a career-best effort for the former Tribal Chief, thanks in large part to The Ring General across from him.
Since his arrival in WWE, Gunther has consistently shown the value of genuinely great in-ring work. He has made everyone around him better and sold everything he does as must-see.
As he prepares for the tournament final against LA Knight, both men look like worthy winners and final opponents for Cena.
Gunther could well earn that spot due to the guarantee of in-ring quality he provides, though Knight would get a lot more out of being the last one to face The GOAT in his career.
At this point, The Ring General is a made man, and only the most reckless booking possible could ruin that.
Liv Morgan Steals the Show in Raw Return
4 of 4Liv Morgan may have returned at Survivor Series, but it was her appearance on Raw that truly solidified how back she was.
This was a great night for Morgan, who was all over the program while making The Judgment Day feel truly relevant again for the first time since her injury.
The statement she made to the whole women's division instantly sold the 31-year-old as one of the top stars in the women's division.
This is a division that needed more big names, and Morgan might be the perfect answer to challenge Stephanie Vaquer next for the Women's World Championship.
Long-term, the goal is most certainly to pit Morgan and Roxanne Perez against each other, but until the time is right, she leads a powerful trio of women hellbent on taking over.
