The Minnesota Timberwolves brought Prince-inspired uniforms back for the first time this season during a Saturday night home game against the Denver Nuggets.

The return of the Wolves' purple jerseys coincided with a Purple Rain-inspired decal added to center court at Target Center ahead of Saturday's 7 p.m. ET tip-off.

The Wolves first wore Prince-inspired uniforms during the 2018-19 NBA season in order to honor the legacy of the Minneapolis native.

The team announced on Oct. 20 that the purple-accented jerseys would return for the 2025-26 season.

This season marks the first time the purple jerseys have been accompanied by matching court decals.

The City Edition jerseys were developed in collaboration with both Prince's estate and Nike, according to the Wolves.

The jerseys feature a paisley pattern over the right shoulder referencing Prince's iconic "Purple Rain" jacket. The uniforms also reference the musician's genre of "Minneapolis Sound" with the initials MLPS on the left leg.

Saturday night's game will also feature a halftime performance by former Prince collaborator Sounds of Blackness, who will perform "Purple Rain."

The Wolves are scheduled to wear their City Edition uniforms six more times this season. The purple uniforms will make their next appearance during a Friday, Dec. 19 home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
