The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Chicago Bulls 105-82 in NBA Summer League action from Las Vegas on Thursday.
Bulls rookie forward Caleb Wilson, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, had a mixed day in what will be his final game of Summer League:

On the plus side, Wilson scored 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting while adding eight rebounds. He showcased the talents that may make him a Rookie of the Year by next summer.
However, he also committed eight turnovers and made just 1-of-6 three-pointers. Still, the former UNC star has excelled over in summer league action, averaging 23.5 points and 7.3 rebounds over four games and showing why the Bulls picked him fourth overall.

The primary reason for Chicago's loss can be found beyond the three-point line. Chicago struggled mightily from deep, hitting just 3-of-33 behind the arc (9.1 percent).
As for the Lakers, rookie guard Cameron Carr, the No. 24 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, fared well with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting. L.A. outscored Chicago by 27 points during his 22 minutes.
The Lakers also outscored the Bulls 64-38 over the second and third quarters to take a 83-54 lead going into the fourth to put this game away. Six players scored in double digits.

Robbie Avila, a college basketball star at Indiana State and Saint Louis who landed on the Lakers' summer league roster, got two minutes at the end of the game. He committed one ultimately meaningless turnover in the 23-point win.
Thursday marked the final day of summer league pool play. The top four teams at the end of the day will move onto the semifinals to determine the summer league champion.
One of those teams will be the Lakers, who went 4-0 and will play Saturday against a to-be-determined opponent.
The Bulls finished 1-3 but will play one consolation summer league game on Friday at 7 p.m. ET when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
