Jon Jones Calls Out Alex Pereira for Fight on UFC White House Card After Aspinall-Gane
Jon Jones challenged Alex Pereira to a fight at the 2026 UFC White House event on Saturday.
"Alex, I'd be down to bring the highest skill level to the White House," Jones wrote in a post on X. "I appreciate the respect you showed, let's dance."
Jones' message to Pereira came after current UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall retained his title against Ciryl Gane due to a no contest caused by an accidental eye poke during their fight at UFC 321.
Shortly after the bout came to an end, Pereira called out Jones for a White House clash on Instagram.
Jones retired in June and was stripped of his UFC heavyweight title, subsequently upgrading Aspinall to undisputed champion. Two months later, he returned to the UFC drug testing pool in hopes of fighting on the card for the White House event in 2026.
After Pereira secured a TKO victory over Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320, he revealed that he wanted to move to the heavyweight division for his next fight and publicly brought up Jones as a future opponent.
Jones' résumé in the Octagon is stellar, owning a record of 28-1. He became the youngest champion in UFC history at 23 years old, earning the light heavyweight title in 2011. Jones later moved to the heavyweight division and secured another title at UFC 285.
As for Pereira, he's 13-3 with wins in six of his past seven fights. He's also a two-weight champion in the UFC, earning titles in the light heavyweight and middleweight divisions.
The 2026 UFC event at the White House will occur on June 14.
