The skateboard Tony Hawk used to pull off his iconic "900" trick for the first time at the 1999 X Games sold for over $1 million at auction this week.
According to Cllct.com's Ben Burrows, Julien's Auctions sold the board for $1.152 million, in addition to selling several other items Hawk wore or used when he completed the first competitive 900 in competitive skateboarding history.

Other sales included Hawk's helmet ($115,200), knee pads ($57,600), sneakers ($64,000) and two autographed credential passes ($7,680).
The official Julien's Auctions website had originally estimated that the historic Birdhouse Falcon 2 skateboard would sell for between $500,000 and $700,000.
Hawk not only used the board when he executed the 900 en route to winning gold in the Vert Best Trick event at the 1999 X Games, but he also rode it while winning gold in Vert Doubles at the same event.
According to Burrows, Hawk used the skateboard as recently as the 2025 X Games, which occurred in Salt Lake City in June.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press (h/t Yahoo), Hawk said he hoped "someone who truly appreciates it" or has a connection to skateboarding would be the one to purchase the board.
Hawk, 57, is by far the most well-known skateboarder of all time, and he helped elevate the sport with his Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game series, which remains popular to this day.
In the description of the Birdhouse Falcon 2 skateboard, Julien's Auctions noted that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the board will go toward Hawk's non-profit organization The Skatepark Project, which helps "underserved communities create safe and inclusive public skateparks for youth," per Burrows.
