UNT's Keviyan Huddleston Honors WWE's Stone Cold with Iconic Celebration on Video

North Texas defensive tackle Keviyan Huddleston channeled his inner "Stone Cold" Steve Austin after making a big play during Saturday's college football game against Army.

After recovering a fumble during the first quarter, Huddleston sported a championship belt around his neck and was seen smashing two cans together before pouring them on his face:

While Austin was known for doing the same celebration with cans of beer during WWE's Attitude Era, it is safe to assume Huddleston used a non-alcoholic beverage.

Although Austin retired from in-ring competition after WrestleMania 19 in 2003 before returning for a one-off match at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, he remains ingrained in pop culture.

He took the pro wrestling world by storm in 1997 and remained on top along with The Rock through about 2001, becoming one of the most popular Superstars in WWE history along the way.

Austin was synonymous with standing up to authority, flipping the bird, and of course drinking lots and lots of beer.

As a college sophomore, Huddleston isn't even old enough to have experienced Austin's heyday as it happened, but his North Texas ties may play a role in his Stone Cold fandom.

Austin was born in Austin, Texas, and played college football at North Texas, making Huddleston's celebration even more fitting.

Like Austin, who was nicknamed The Texas Rattlesnake during his wrestling days, Huddleston is a native Texan born in Tyler, Texas.

If ever there was a good time for Huddleston to break out the Stone Cold celly, it was after his momentum-building play Saturday, as it led directly to another North Texas touchdown to extend the lead to 14-0.

The Mean Green, who are off to a 3-0 start this season, carried a 28-14 lead into halftime, as they look to secure their first win over Army since 2017.
