Final Picks for Rollins, Punk, Uso, Knight and Full WWE Clash in Paris Match Card

Graham GSM MatthewsAug 30, 2025

A largely uninspired build doesn't necessarily mean WWE Clash in Paris 2025 won't be worthwhile this Sunday, Aug. 31.

The event emanating from Paris all but guarantees an electric atmosphere, and most of WWE's premium live events overseas have featured some of the loudest crowds all year since the inaugural installment of Clash at the Castle in 2022.

That's in addition to a short-but-sweet card featuring plenty of star power, including in the World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way between CM Punk, Jey Uso, LA Knight and defending champ Seth Rollins.

Elsewhere on the card, John Cena and Logan Paul will meet one-on-one for the first time ever while Roman Reigns battles Bronson Reed, Nikki Bella challenges Becky Lynch for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, and Sheamus and Rusev wage war in a Good Ol' Fashioned Donnybrook match.

A strong show can go a long way in setting the stage for the fall season in WWE and ideally generating genuine interest in what comes next.

These are the final predictions for Clash in Paris that matter most with one day remaining until the anticipated event.

John Cena vs. Logan Paul

1 of 6

John Cena is already infinitely more compelling as a character back in babyface mode than he was during the five months he spent as a heel.

Logan Paul was the first to step up to Cena since The Unseen 17 lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam earlier in the month. It's a match the social media sensation has long wanted and will finally get in front of a rowdy crowd in Paris.

Cena's passionate promo toward Paul on the Aug. 22 edition of SmackDown did an extremely effective job of selling many viewers on the bout and leaving them wanting to see Cena give him his comeuppance.

Paul is essentially WWE's ultimate utility player at this point in that he can plugged into whatever scenario the company may need him in. Although a win here would be huge for him, it would mean more for Cena to kick off the last leg of his retirement tour victorious before focusing on other adversaries.

Regardless of how well they mesh in the ring, their excellent dynamic alone should ensure it's an entertaining outing.

Prediction: John Cena wins.

Sheamus vs. Rusev (Good Ol' Fashion Donnybrook Match)

2 of 6

Sheamus has been the perfect foil for Rusev since the latter made his long-awaited return to WWE in the wake of WrestleMania 41.

The two have exchanged wins since the spring and were due for a big blow-off. It would have been easy for WWE to relegate this to Raw, but it's far more satisfying for the culmination of their storyline to take place on a stage as grand as Clash in Paris, where the crowd should be super invested in everything they do.

This is a match that can go either way and neither of them would be worse off for it. A win for Sheamus would get him closer to achieving his lifelong goal of capturing the one title that has always alluded him in the Intercontinental Championship, while Rusev resuming his reign of terror and continuing to dominate the Raw roster works just as well.

With Rusev still in the process of finding his footing again, it's slightly more important for him to go over. WWE needs to prevent him from getting lost in the shuffle and suffering from the same issues his original run with the company did years ago.

Prediction: Rusev wins.

The Wyatt Sicks vs. the Street Profits (WWE Tag Team Championship)

3 of 6

SmackDown's stacked tag team division has been on fire for the better part of the past year, and their Six-Pack TLC match at SummerSlam was one of the best bouts of the weekend.

Unfortunately, the current champs The Wyatt Sicks haven't been fully fleshed out as an act since they resurfaced in the spring. They took the titles from The Street Profits soon after but have hardly been a focal point while other teams around them have been delivering in spades.

Street Profits earned this opportunity by beating Melo Don't Miz in a number one contender's match on Friday's SmackDown in Lyon, France.

For as terrific of a tandem as Street Profits are, they have done all they can go do together and Montez Ford specifically is overdue for a serious singles push. Meanwhile, there is a plethora of other teams for The Wyatt Sicks to work with and eventually drop the titles to.

Making this a last-minute addition to the card feels rushed, and there's no reason to believe Street Profits are getting the belts back anytime soon.

Prediction: The Wyatt Sicks retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella (Women's Intercontinental Championship)

4 of 6

Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella is the definition of a feud that has completely exceeded expectations, further elevating the once-fledgling Women's Intercontinental Championship in the process.

The Man has successfully reinvented herself once again and the WWE Hall of Famer is enjoying a fun career resurgence. Bella setting her sights on the designated midcard title for Raw's women's division automatically gives it credibility, not to mention their various verbal exchanges have made for must-see TV in recent weeks.

These two were always going to collide for the championship at some point, but it's safe to assume the bout was bumped up a few weeks due to Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer having to be canceled for Clash in Paris.

Bella was never likely to walk away with the title, but if the rivalry will resume regardless, having her win it at this stage would make even less sense, even though it'd be a nice moment. Lynch should resort to underhanded tactics to retain the title and keep Bella in chase mode for a little longer.

Lynch is doing some of her best work ever right now and there's no need to interrupt her hot momentum with an unnecessary loss.

Prediction: Becky Lynch retains the Women's Intercontinental Championship.

Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed

5 of 6

All roads lead to Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, but at the rate that rivalry is going, WWE is presumably saving the marquee match for WrestleMania 42.

In the meantime, Reigns is working his way through the rest of The Vision, starting with Bronson Reed.

Reed was responsible for sidelining Reigns on the post-SummerSlam edition of Raw with a series of Tsunami splashes, if only temporarily. Reigns returned with a vengeance and has made a major enemy out of the self-proclaimed Tribal Thief in recent weeks.

Reigns already knocked off Reed and Bron Breakker in tag team action at SummerSlam, making it all the more important that Reed beat Reigns when they square off at Clash in Paris. Reigns loses nothing from getting beaten by Reed, who can benefit big time from joining an elite few to score a decisive victory over the former Undisputed WWE Universal champion.

However, there has been zero indication WWE intends to showcase Reed at that level. He may viciously attack Reigns afterward to write him off television for the next month, but Reigns will be the one who wins the match.

Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk vs. LA Knight vs. Jey Uso (World Heavyweight Championship)

6 of 6

Raw has revolved around Seth Rollins since his heel turn at WrestleMania 41, and now he has the World Heavyweight Championship to justify all of the television time he and his new stable The Vision have been receiving.

Rollins successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on CM Punk at SummerSlam earlier in August means the odds are slim to none of him losing the title this quickly, but the story of him having to overcome the odds in this Fatal 4-Way will be a fun one to follow.

CM Punk, LA Knight and Jey Uso all have their own issues with Rollins, but Punk is by far his most heated rival. Their score won't be settled until they meet in some sort of a stipulation match one-on-one, but come Clash in Paris, they can effectively further their feud by having Rollins steal the win from Punk in classic Fatal 4-Way fashion.

Knight to bound to eat the pinfall loss based on how he's been booked, but neither he nor Uso should factor into the finish so they aren't eliminated from championship contention. Punk being pinned can create the need for one last bout between them at Wrestlepalooza on Sept. 20.

With Rollins' reign as World Heavyweight champion just getting underway, his first defense feels like a foregone conclusion despite the deck being stacked against him.

Prediction: Seth Rollins retains the World Heavyweight Championship.
