Little League World Series 2025 Final Scores, Bracket Results, Thursday Highlights
Everything was on the line at the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series for the four teams in action Thursday.
With the Asia-Pacific Region waiting in the international championship game and the Metro Region waiting in the United States championship game, Thursday's win-or-go-home contests were to determine their opponents.
First, it was the international game between the Latin America Region and the Caribbean Region to decide who would face the Asia-Pacific Region. Then, it was the United States contest between the Mountain Region and Southeast Region to determine who would face the Metro Region.
Those respective bracket championship matchups will be Saturday, while the winner of the United States and international tournaments will face each other for the title Sunday.
With that as the backdrop, here is a look at the scores and schedule for all of Thursday's action in the LLBWS bracket.
LLBWS Thursday Scores and Schedule
- Caribbean Region defeats Latin America Region, 3-1
- Mountain Region defeats Southeast Region, 5-3
Caribbean Region defeats Latin America Region, 3-1
The team representing Aruba is heading to the international championship game thanks to a 3-1 victory over the team representing Venezuela.
Aruba advanced behind a strong combined pitching effort from Jay-Sell Girón and Emerson Mercado. They combined to allow a single run and five hits while stifling a Venezuela offense that scored at least three runs in each of its previous games at this event.
Mercado came in as a relief pitcher and shut the door on any comeback chances after Aruba's offense jumped out to a quick lead. Fittingly, it was Mercado who started the scoring as well with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.
Jayderick Wederfoor's RBI single in the third pushed the lead to 2-0, which was enough run support to advance.
Venezuela could have broken through in the second inning in what proved to be a controversial moment. Aruba's left fielder trapped a ball against the ground when attempting to make a sliding catch with the bases loaded, but the umpires said he caught it on a fly. The runner on second base was also doubled off since he was running on what should have been a base hit.
It ended a golden scoring opportunity for Venezuela, and momentum remained on Aruba's side for the rest of the game. Aruba added some insurance in the sixth with a sacrifice fly from Isaac Arendsz, which proved important because Venezuela scored its only run of the game in the bottom half of the final frame.
The victors will now face the Asia-Pacific Region in the international championship game.
Mountain Region defeats Southeast Region, 5-3
Garrett Gallegos hit a three-run homer with one out in the top of the sixth inning to lead the Mountain Region (Las Vegas, Nevada) to a 5-3 win over the Southeast Region (Irmo, South Carolina).
Nevada was down to its final two outs, but Brooks Fechser walked and Cache Malan singled to put a pair of runners on for Gallegos, who deposited a 2-2 pitch deep over the right field fence.
Luke D'Ambrosio then shut the door for Nevada in the bottom of the sixth, earning the win and getting a strikeout to end the game.
Gallegos got Nevada on the board first with a first inning double, scoring Ethan Robertson.
Brody Miller answered back for South Carolina with a solo home run.

South Carolina later took a 3-2 lead in the fifth after Sutton Gravelle drew a bases loaded walk, scoring Miller.
In the end, though, Nevada earned the hard-fought victory and advanced to the United States final on Saturday against the undefeated Metro Region team (Fairfield, Connecticut). Connecticut defeated Nevada 7-3 one round earlier to advance to the final.
