John Cena's WWE Retirement Match Date, Live Stream Schedule Revealed Following Rumors
WWE and NBCUniversal announced Wednesday that John Cena's retirement match will take place at Saturday Night's Main Event on Dec. 13.
In a joint statement, WWE and NBCUniversal revealed that a multiyear agreement was reached to make Peacock the exclusive streaming home for Saturday Night's Main Event moving forward, including the Dec. 13 episode headlined by Cena's final match.
The first Saturday Night's Main Event to stream exclusively on Peacock will take place on Nov. 1.

WWE head of creative Triple H commented on the new arrangement, saying: "We're excited to bring Saturday Night's Main Event exclusively to Peacock beginning this fall. NBCU have been terrific longtime partners, and we look forward to continuing to work with them for years to come."
The Dec. 13 SNME has long been rumored and speculated as the platform for Cena's retirement match, although the venue and opponent have yet to be announced.
While Cena's opponent in his final match remains anyone's guess, multiple reports have pointed toward Boston as the host city for the historic bout, including one from Cory Hays of BodySlam.net.
TD Garden in Boston would be the most logical choice for the event since Cena grew up in West Newbury, Massachusetts, which is less than an hour drive away.
WWE and ESPN announced Wednesday that on Sept. 20, Wrestlepalooza will be the first WWE premium live event to stream exclusively on ESPN's direct-to-consumer streaming service.
It was noted that the show will be headlined by Cena, and it is widely assumed that his opponent will be Brock Lesnar, who shockingly returned to WWE programming by attacking Cena at SummerSlam earlier this month.
A Cena vs. Lesnar rematch at the Dec. 13 Saturday Night's Main Event could be possible, but it would require WWE to keep the rivalry going for a few months.
It feels more likely that Cena will face someone else in his retirement match like someone from his past such as Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles or perhaps even a long-shot pick like The Rock.
WWE could also give Cena a first-time-ever opponent in his final match with Gunther and Bron Breakker standing out as possibilities.
