Little League World Series 2025 Sunday Scores, Bracket Results and Highlights
Sunday is one of the most notable days on the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series schedule.
After all, the day concludes with the MLB Little League Classic between the Seattle Mariners and New York Mets at Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It gives the Little League players who have been competing for the event's coveted crown the opportunity to see the game played at the highest level in a different environment than a typical Major League ballpark.
But there were four important LLBWS games scheduled before the major leaguers take the field.
With that in mind, here is a look at all of Sunday's scores and highlights in the tournament that features a double-elimination bracket until the United States and international championship games on Aug. 23.
Sunday LLBWS Scores and Schedule
- Northwest Region defeats New England Region, 3-2
- Canada Region defeats Australia Region, 12-0
- West Region defeats Great Lakes Region, 9-1
- Mexico Region defeats Panama Region, 2-1
Northwest Region defeats New England Region, 3-2
The game between the team representing Washington and the team representing Massachusetts was a pressure-packed, win-or-go-home contest.
Washington delivered with a dramatic 3-2 victory to keep its title hopes alive.
All of the scoring happened in the first two innings, as Colton Audette's RBI single put Washington ahead 1-0 before Massachusetts responded with a two-RBI hit from Sam Trotta to take the lead.
However, Washington answered right back with an RBI from Cole Sehlin and then what proved to be the winning run on a wild pitch.
That was all the run support Sawyer Breed needed, as the starting pitcher allowed just the two runs, three hits and three walks while striking out seven in five innings of work.
Andrew Madsen closed the door with a shutout sixth, and Washington earned the critical win.
Canada Region defeats Australia Region, 12-0
The win-or-go-home pressure didn't stop in the United States bracket.
Canada avoided elimination with a 12-0 victory over Australia that featured a brilliant pitching performance from Tyson Grimsrud-Ronse. Grimsrud-Ronse struck out five and allowed a single walk in his four innings of no-hit work before Misha Lee closed the door in a game that was called early because of the double-digit advantage.
Lee was one out away from finishing a combined no-hitter, although Braxton Black broke it up in the final frame.
The pitching was the biggest story, but the Canadian offense delivered in triumphant fashion as well. It scored twice in the third inning on a wild pitch and a Matthew Wong single, added another in the fourth and then broke things open in the fifth.
The victors scored eight runs in the fifth inning alone with contributions throughout the lineup.
Arek Aubuchon went 2-for-2 with three RBI, Caleb Jackson added two RBI, Davis Weibel scored three runs, and Lee went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run. It was a dominant performance that kept Canada in the tournament.
West Region defeats Great Lakes Region, 9-1
Much like Canada and Washington, the team representing Hawai'i delivered with its season on the line and eliminated another contender in the process with a 9-1 victory over the team representing Illinois.
It didn't take long for the eventual winners to set the tone.
Bronson Fermahin launched a three-run homer in the first inning before the offense pushed the lead to 8-0 through two innings. A few key players were dialed in from the start, and the statistics reflected it.
Fermahin, Evan Crawford and Kobe Lumford each went 3-for-3 from the plate, while Josh Tanaka went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Fermahin led the way in the RBI department with three.
Hawai'i's offense was the biggest storyline, but its pitching was solid as well.
Mason Mitani, Crawford and Logan Brokaw combined to allow just a single run, five hits and three walks while striking out seven. Hawai'i didn't rely on anyone to pitch too many innings, which means some of the arms should be fresher as the tournament progresses.
Mexico Region defeats Panama Region, 2-1
Mexico needed some heroics to preserve their championship chances, and they got it in the form of Gregorio Madrid and Xavier Nolasco.
The pair led their side to a dramatic 2-1 walkoff victory over Panama, which ended the latter's tournament.
Madrid starred on the mound throughout the game and was one out away from a complete-game shutout. However, Panama tied the contest on a bunt hit and two throwing errors, which shifted the pressure back to Mexico.
And the victors delivered in the bottom of the sixth when Nolasco split the gap in left and center field with a walkoff hit.
It was the type of hit Mexico did not get in the fifth inning when it stranded the bases loaded with nobody out. Fortunately for the winning side, Madrid was nearly unhittable while striking out nine and giving up three hits and a walk.
That set the stage for Nolasco to play the role of hero, and he delivered.
