FedEx St. Jude Championship Leaderboard 2025, Top Scorecards, Player Stats on Day 3

Timothy RappAug 9, 2025

Tommy Fleetwood finished Friday atop the leaderboard at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at Memphis' TPC Southwind. Not much changed on Saturday, outside of the margin of his lead.

Fleetwood now holds a one-stroke lead after three rounds, shooting a 1-under 69 to sit at 14 strokes under par for the tournament. He currently leads Justin Rose (-13), Scottie Scheffler (-12), JJ Spaun (-11) and Andrew Novak (-11), setting up a potentially epic Sunday.

While Fleetwood didn't maintain the blistering pace from the first two rounds, when he shot rounds of 63 and 64, his steady play has kept him atop the leaderboard. Granted, that hasn't always worked out so well in the past:

Coming into Saturday, Collin Morikawa and Akshay Bhatia were each in second, four strokes behind him, though both watched as a number of players passed them.

While Morikawa shot two over and Bhatia was even on Saturday, both Scottie Scheffler and Spaun impressed, finishing five under for the day to give themselves a shot to catch Fleetwood.

Rickie Fowler is another player to watch after his 66 on Saturday put him just five strokes behind Fleetwood, in striking distance.

If Fleetwood holds on to win the tournament, he's projected to rise to No. 2 in the FedEx Cup Playoff standings, though Scheffler will remain comfortably in first place.

Rory McIlroy, who is currently second in the playoff standings, chose to skip the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Given that his place in the Tour Championship is basically guaranteed given his strong season, the decision probably won't have any adverse effects outside of the minor backlash it created around the sport.

Most players probably wouldn't choose to skip an event with a $20 million purse, but McIlroy isn't exactly hard up for cash. While a playoff event missing one of its top stars isn't ideal, it's ultimately much ado about nothing.

And there figures to be plenty of drama on Sunday without him.
