Little League Softball World Series 2025 Thursday Bracket Results and Highlights
A group of undefeated teams took the field Thursday as the 2025 Little League Softball World Series continued in Greenville, North Carolina.
The luxury of being in the winner's bracket at this stage of the tournament is that some of the pressure is alleviated. After all, the losers of Thursday's pair of games are still alive in the double-elimination format.
Still, the winner's bracket games also presented a golden opportunity to move one step closer to Sunday's championship contest.
With that as the backdrop, here is a look at Thursday's scores and schedule.
2025 LLSWS Thursday Scores
- Mid-Atlantic Region def. Southwest Region, 1-0
- North Carolina Region def. Asia-Pacific Region, 3-2
Mid-Atlantic Region def. Southwest Region, 1-0
The team representing Pennsylvania continued its perfect run through the LLSWS with a thrilling 1-0 victory over the team representing Oklahoma in Thursday's pitcher's duel.
Pennsylvania is now 3-0 in the tournament, while Oklahoma will have its back against the wall in the next contest.
Reagan Bills was once again the star of the show for the victors with a brilliantly pitched game, although counterpart Harmoneigh White matched her pitch-for-pitch for most of the contest.
White was a strikeout machine throughout the game, which made every opportunity critical for both offenses. Oklahoma had one of those chances in the fourth when it loaded the bases with one out, but Bills notched two key outs to keep the game scoreless.
The difference ended up being in the fifth inning when Pennsylvania took advantage of one of its opportunities when Nevaeh Worthington scored the game's lone run on a grounder by Mallory Bailor.
That was all Bills needed, and she fittingly ended the game with a strikeout.
North Carolina Region def. Asia-Pacific Region, 3-2
The wins keep coming for the team representing North Carolina.
It improved to 3-0 in the tournament with another narrow victory, this time over the team representing Japan. The one-run win was fitting, as it won its first two contests by a combined three runs.
Japan is still alive after previously defeating Canada but now must win its next contest.
North Carolina gave up two runs in the first inning, which put it in comeback mode once again after overcoming deficits in its first two wins. On cue, the eventual victors answered with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the frame and then took the lead in the third thanks to some small-ball and putting the pressure on the defense.
That was all North Carolina pitcher Makayla Montgomery needed.
She shut the door on Japan for the rest of the game following the slow start and clinched yet another thrilling win for her side.
