DeVante Parker Injury: Updates on Dolphins WR's Recovery from Foot Surgery
DeVante Parker will be a big part of the Miami Dolphins offense in 2015 as the team tries to take a step forward in the AFC East. And though he is recovering from foot surgery he underwent in June, he made his 2015 debut on Sept. 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and caught one pass for 11 yards.
"Parker said his foot responded well after last week. Hasn't been told if he'll play Sunday but he expects to," Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reported on Twitter on Monday.
This has been a major step in the right direction considering Parker didn't sound optimistic about his status on Aug. 31, via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, saying he was unsure about his status for full-team practices at the time.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Speaking to Beasley (via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald), Parker's agent, James Gould, said on July 29 that Parker "remains on target to be ready for [the regular-season] opener" on Sept. 13 at Washington.
Gould also noted that doctors believe "they got it right" by replacing a screw in Parker's foot that was originally inserted during a 2014 procedure.
The Dolphins invested the 14th overall pick in Parker, and they're hoping he can upgrade a wide receiving corps in which no player reached the 1,000-yard barrier last season. He did have some injury concerns coming out of college, playing only seven games in 2014 with a broken bone in his left foot.
