UFC Icon Randy Couture Reportedly Released from Hospital to Recover from Car Crash
UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture is moving in a positive direction in his recovery from a scary car accident during practice runs on a race track in Kansas City.
Per TMZ, Couture has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home. His spokesperson confirmed last week that he's expected to make a full recovery.
The accident occurred last week when Couture was doing a practice run in preparation for his National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) debut. He had to be airlifted to a Kansas City-area burn center, where it was determined that he had suffered first and second-degree burns, trauma and smoke inhalation.

A UFC legend, Couture was excited to try his hand in a new career as he transitioned to racing.
"This is a new way to tickle that competitive spirit that I've had most of my life; a new place for me to get competitive and make a mark in racing," Couture said recently, per TMZ. "I'll bring all the things I developed as a wrestler and martial artist into this realm and see what we can do. I have no idea how it’s going to go, but I'm excited about the opportunities."
Couture was the first fighter in UFC history to win a championship in two different divisions, and he finished his career as a three-time heavyweight champion and two-time light-heavyweight champion. He also won the UFC 13 Heavyweight Tournament. He currently works as a color commentator and analyst for the PFL.
TMZ noted that it's "unclear where Couture's racing future will go from here."
