Steph Curry, Aaron Rodgers, Kelce American Century Golf Day 1 Tee Times, TV Schedule
While the American Century Championship might not deliver the high-level, high-stakes competition that die-hard golf fans crave, it's always an entertaining event that even casual fans can enjoy.
That's because the annual charity tournament doesn't feature the world's best golfers, but is instead headlined by celebrities from other sports, stage and screen.
This doesn't mean, though, that many of the celebrities in the field aren't good, experienced golfers. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, for example, is a regular participant at the American Century, while Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won the tournament two years ago—he didn't participate last year because of the Summer Olympics. Kansas City Chiefs tight end has competed at both the American Century and in The Match.
With celebrities like NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, comedian Nate Bargatze and actor Miles Teller also set to be in the field, the three-day tournament should bring plenty of fun. For fans who want to track the celebrity action on Day 1, here's everything you need to know.

Day 1 Preview
3 of 3
Not every celebrity participant is good enough to actually win the American Century Championship. That's because the three-day, 54-hole tournament requires both skill and consistency to conquer.
The 6,709-yard, par-72 course can be challenging, and the tournament format makes it extremely difficult to luck into a winning score. For those unfamiliar with the tournament, it utilizes a modified Stableford scoring format that awards points for each hole as follows:
Three Under Par: 10 Points
Hole-in-One: 8 Points
Eagle: 6 Points
Birdie: 3 Points
Par: 1 Point
Bogey: 0 Points
Double-Bogey or Worse: Minus-2 Points
While the scoring format doesn't further penalize golfers for scoring worse than a double-bogey, it heavily rewards those who can consistently shoot par or better. This is why past winners like Curry, former tennis star Mardy Fish and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo should be among the favorites entering Friday.
Competitors like Rodgers, former NHL star Joe Pavelski and LPGA legend Annika Sörenstam should also be in the mix on Sunday. Those that aren't should still provide fans with memorable moments and a surplus of celebrity sightings.
Yes, there's a chance that fans will get a glimpse of pop icon Taylor Swift as she supports Travis Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
"Swift’s attendance hasn’t been confirmed, but the pop superstar’s consistent presence alongside Kelce this summer makes it increasingly likely," Aidin Vaziri of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote on Wednesday.
Regardless of how the tournament unfolds, fans in attendance and watching at home should be entertained. All of the action will begin on Friday morning.
