Gilberto Ramirez Talks Possible Jake Paul Title Fight, Says Bout Would Be 'Easy Money'
Unified cruiserweight champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez isn't shying away from the possibility of defending his titles against Jake Paul.
A potential title fight for Paul became more of a reality after he was officially added to the WBA rankings following his win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and Ramirez told TMZ that he would welcome the opportunity to meet the YouTuber in the ring.
"If the money is right, why not?" Ramirez said. "Easy fight for me, easy money."

Ramirez fought in the co-main event of Paul's match against Chavez, defeating Yuniel Dorticos by unanimous decision to retain his titles. After Paul won the main event, he took a shot at the champion, calling him "slow." The two of them did a faceoff during the post-fight press conference.
While Paul isn't one to show a lack of confidence, Ramirez would be a significant departure from the opponents he's used to facing, most of whom have been boxers or former MMA fighters well past their primes. Ramirez has a record of 48-1 with 30 wins by knockout, and he's still in his prime at 34 years old.
Paul getting a title fight without working his way up the rankings would surely ruffle some feathers, but Ramirez reiterated that he wouldn't turn down an easy matchup.
"I will take that fight," Ramirez told TMZ. "He's easy money for me."
