The 5 Boxing Matches We Need to See with Jake and Logan Paul

Lyle FitzsimmonsJul 16, 2025

It's the Paul family's world. We're all just living in it.

Little brother Jake Paul stepped back into the spotlight last month in Southern California, where he handled 39-year-old former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a 10-round boxing match at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The victory—his 12th in 13 pro fights—set the 28-year-old on his familiar post-fight schtick in which he promised world titles and domination of high-profile opponents, and big brother Logan joined in both during the broadcast and after the fight.

The B/R combat team decided to enter the fray, too, with some suggestions for in-ring options each man could pursue for their next times around. Take a look at what we came up with and drop a thought of your own in the app comments.

Jake vs. Tommy Fury

Each of Jake Paul's recent fights has yielded promises of a lean toward legitimacy for the winner, only to be followed by yet another dubious choice of opponent.

Let's be clear, choosing Tommy Fury next wouldn't do much to alter that pattern.

But it would at least satisfy the "Problem Child's" thirst for revenge.

Lest anyone forget, the younger half-brother of former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury handed Paul his lone professional defeat when he won a split decision after an eight-rounder between the social media rivals two years ago in Saudi Arabia.

Paul has won six straight in the aftermath while Fury has faded from the mainstream, but the enmity remains, given that Paul mentioned his former foe after the Chavez victory, saying "Tommy Fury can get it too. Stop running from me, Tommy."

Good enough for us.

Logan vs. Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather Jr. v Conor McGregor

Logan Paul has gone into another realm of sports as a "superstar" with the WWE, but he does have some boxing experience alongside his higher-profile brother.

He lost a six-rounder to British social media influencer KSI in 2019, went eight exhibition rounds with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2021, then embarrassed ex-MMA competitor Dillon Danis on the undercard of a KSI-Tommy Fury fight in 2023.

So, while it's not his primary way of making money, it's not too big a reach to suggest Logan might get back in the ring again soon. And he did nothing to diminish the thought during a chat with Ariel Helwani on the Paul-Chavez broadcast, with Helwani guessing that the imminent foe might be Conor McGregor.

McGregor was TKO'd by Mayweather in a 2017 pay-per-view blockbuster and said in January that the UFC would not allow him to meet Logan in an exhibition match in India. But the mention of the "Notorious" one on Saturday's show certainly piqued B/R's interest once again.

And McGregor, who has not competed in MMA since 2021, is still on board, too, if the WWE and UFC can get it worked out.

"I'm more inclined now for this influencer, f--king whatever you call it, because it's astronomical money," McGregor said. "It's astronomical, the figures. Who is there? Jake. Logan. KSI. I like the three of these guys and then all these other ones that are tussling around."

Jake vs. Gervonta Davis

Gervonta Davis v Lamont Roach

Nope, it's not a misprint.

A 10-round fight between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis was on the table and set to be announced earlier this year after "Tank" stopped Lamont Roach Jr.'s challenge for his WBC lightweight championship.

Davis is a stalwart on many respected pound-for-pound boxing lists, has 28 KOs in 30 pro wins, and has won title belts of varying worth in four weight classes.

So, you might think a match with him would be one that'd automatically give Paul high regard in the boxing world. Except for one detail: He fights at 135 pounds.

Paul, meanwhile, weighed in at 199.5 pounds for his fight on Saturday.

It'll have to wait a bit, regardless, given that Roach outperformed expectations and earned a draw against Davis in March that warrants a rematch. But Paul told Ariel Helwani it'd be a go at 195 pounds, though classified as an exhibition because the weight difference prevents them from getting a professional sanction.

Jake vs. Badou Jack

Canelo Alvarez v William Scull: Fatal Fury - Fight Night

Some believe Jake Paul does eventually plan to fight world-class foes. Others insist he'll claim that's the goal, but it'll never happen.

A fight with Badou Jack would certainly fit with option No. 1.

Jack, at 41, is older than Chavez Jr., but he'd represent a gigantic leap in quality for Paul, given that he's won title belts at three weights and has been the WBC's kingpin at cruiserweight since 2023 with one successful defense.

Paul is the same height at 6'1", would hold a three-inch (76 to 73) reach advantage, and is 13 years younger than Jack, though the older man has been a professional for 16 years and has won seven straight fights since his last loss in 2019.

The men shared space on shows in 2020 and 2023—Jack also fought on the undercard of Logan's scrap with Mayweather in 2021, which means it ought to be easy to make if Paul wants it. Still, Randy Gordon, an International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee earlier this month, was succinct about the YouTuber's chances if it occurs.

"No f'ing way," he told Bleacher Report.

Logan vs. Jake

Fanatics Fest NYC 2025

Yeah, we know. The chances of an actual boxing match between the Paul brothers are slim and none, given that Jake has had 13 professional bouts against nominally proficient competition and Logan's opponents have been even less impressive.

But considering the family's perpetual goal is attracting attention and the pay-per-view buys that come with it, who's to say they couldn't put something together?

They've teased the concept in the past while announcing other projects, and if Jake reads the post-Chavez tea leaves and goes all-in on the novelty side of things, it's hard to imagine that any other opponent could generate a bigger pop from their go-to crowd, perhaps under some modified combat rules.

"In boxing, I would beat him quite easily," Jake said. "He's very good at wrestling. He can do splits and could probably kick me in the head."
