Hangman Page Wins AEW World Title vs. Moxley at All In With Help from Danielson, Allin

Mike ChiariJul 12, 2025

"Hangman" Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley at All In on Saturday to win the AEW World Championship for the second time.

Page won a bloody battle, which also featured the returns of Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin as they both came to his aid during the contest:

In the end, however, it was a vital intervention from Swerve Strickland that helped turn the tide in Page's favor:

At Double or Nothing in May, Page and Will Ospreay duked it out in the main event with a world title match against Moxley at All In hanging in the balance. Page was victorious over Ospreay in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, setting the stage for Page vs. Mox.

Entering All In, Moxley had been AEW world champion for eight months, making his record fourth AEW world title reign one of the longest in history.

Moxley beat Danielson for the title at WrestleDream last year and retired him in the process, and ever since then, Mox has had the Death Riders backing him up during every defense.

That put Hangman in a precarious position at All In, although there was also some thought that he would perhaps have some backup in his own right since Moxley and the Death Riders have made so many enemies over the past several months.

After an arduous journey to get there, Page won his first AEW world title back in November 2021, but he dropped it to CM Punk about six months later, and he has been trying to win it back ever since.

Page faced his fair share of obstacles along the way, including injuries and heated rivalries with Swerve Strickland and Jay White, but All In represented a golden opportunity to become just the third multi-time world champion in AEW history.

Given the ups and downs of his story, coupled with fatigue over Moxley's title reign, the All In crowd at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, was firmly behind Hangman on Saturday.

Still, a Page win was far from a guarantee given how Mox's title reign had played out leading up to All In, along with rumors and speculation that AEW had possibly been making long-term plans for someone else to dethrone Moxley.

In the end, Hangman overcame the odds and prevailed at All In to finally become a two-time AEW world champion, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
