Madrid finished four points behind Barcelona for the La Liga title, plus they were the Copa del Rey runner-up, falling to Barca in the final.
Real Madrid also underachieved in the Champions League, as Arsenal eliminated them in the quarterfinals.
Following the end of Real Madrid's season, Mbappé played for France at the 2025 UEFA Nations League Finals earlier this month.
France lost a highly entertaining, 5-4 affair to Spain in the semifinals before beating Germany 2-0 in the third-place game. Mbappé scored a goal in both matches, giving him 50 in his national team career.
Real Madrid are currently taking part in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, playing Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Now that Mbappé has been hospitalized, his status for the remainder of the tournament is in question.
