Sprint Cup Chase 2015: NASCAR Standings, Schedule After Quaker State 400
Every Sprint Cup driver best beware of Kyle Busch.
He's on fire and moving toward a berth in the Chase after capturing the checkered flag at Kentucky Speedway in the 2015 Quaker State 400 on Saturday. The win was Busch's second of the season and second since returning from an 11-week absence due to injury.
He moved up to 35th in the Sprint Cup standings, but most importantly, he got his second win this season. To qualify for the Chase, Busch needs to finish in the top 30 in the standings. He's currently 35th after his win Saturday.
He has eight races left to make up the other five spots. After the race, Busch kept things very simple. Per Tom Jensen of Fox Sports, Busch said: "That right there is what we've got to do. Just to score as many points as we possibly can. To score those wins, that's what's going to get us to where we need to be. We led the most laps and we won the race, so that's all you can score. We'll just continue to push on and thrive."
Here's a look at the top 10. You can see the full standings at NASCAR.com.
| 1 | Kevin Harvick | --- | 2 |
| 2 | Jimmie Johnson | -68 | 4 |
| 3 | Joey Logano | -68 | 1 |
| 4 | Dale Earnhardt Jr. | -76 | 2 |
| 5 | Martin Truex Jr. | -96 | 1 |
| 6 | Brad Keselowski | -133 | 1 |
| 7 | Jamie McMurray | -136 | 0 |
| 8 | Kurt Busch | -150 | 2 |
| 9 | Matt Kenseth | -152 | 1 |
| 10 | Jeff Gordon | -155 | 0 |
Meanwhile, Kevin Harvick is maintaining his hold on the top spot despite the fact that he hasn't won a race in almost four months. His spot in the Chase is all but assured, but Harvick would probably like to win at least one more time to establish some momentum heading into NASCAR's playoffs.
Going the Wrong Way

There were a few other drivers who jumped two spots, but Tony Stewart was the only one to drop three spots in the standings. His 33rd-place finish dropped him to 28th in the NASCAR standings.
A disappointing season continues for Stewart. Not only has he not won a race this season, but he has just one top-10 finish on the year. If he wants to make the Chase, he and his team must find a way to halt this skid and win one of the final eight races.
