WWE NXT Worlds Collide 2025 Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights

Kevin BergeJun 7, 2025

WWE's World Collide has often served as a special event to explore the larger world of professional wrestling, but without NXT UK, it has not been utilized in several year.

The recent acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide though set the stage for a dramatic return, highlighting the top stars of AAA on a WWE stage.

The 2025 edition of Worlds Collide aired from the Kia Forum in Ingelwood, California and was headlined by the AAA mega champion El Hijo del Vikingo against Chad Gable.

The NXT North American Championship was also on the line as "All Ego" Ethan Page tried to hold onto the gold in a Fatal 4-Way with Je'Von Evans, Rey Fenix and Laredo Kid.

Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice teamed up to contest AAA's Chik Tormenta and Dalys.

Legado del Fantasma contested El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown. Meanwhile, Latino World Order teamed with Lince Dorado against Octagón Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana.

For those unfamiliar with AAA and its great luchadors, this was an important opportunity to see what they can do against some of WWE's best.

Latino World Order and Lince Dorado vs. Octagón Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana

1 of 6

Octagón Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana looked to make a strong first impression against Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro and Lince Dorado.

They did just that as Octagón caught Dorado with a moonsault fallaway slam for the victory.

"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio mocked Octagón until a fight broke out as everyone tried to break it up. Dirty Dom challenged him to fight with the Intercontinental Championship on the line at Money in the Bank.

It would have been easy to forget this was a six-man tag team match as so much of the action was focused on Iguana, who was the crowd favorite.

That changed late in the match where Aero Star and Octagón Jr. pushed the speed of the match and picked up a nice win that set up a shock match announcement for MITB.

While this was more about Iguana, the show was trying to highlight Octagón. He should get a bigger spotlight later against Dom.

Overall, it was a solid fast-paced lucha battle relying heavily on the live crowd's reactions with a lack of story coming in.

It might have worked better though if it was tightened up as the best stretch was the final couple minutes by a wide margin.

Result

Octagón, Star and Iguana def. Dragon, Del Toro and Dorado by pinfall.

Notable Moments

- The show started with a promo video, narrated by Rey Mysterio in Spanish.

- Corey Graves was the play-by-play man for this show with Konnan.

- After the Mexican and American national anthems, Mysterio headed to the ring to talk up what lucha libre means to him.

- Iguana had the crowd chanting for him from the moment he got into the action, getting louder when he brought out La Yezca to help.

- When Iguana used La Yezca again, Dorado hit him with a standing shooting star press much to the disdain of the live crowd.

- Konnan rightly called out Del Toro wrestling at a higher level than usual in this match, enjoying the long match time.

Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice vs. Chik Tormenta and Dalys

2 of 6

Lola Vice found herself struggling early to keep up with the experienced Chik Tormenta and Dalys.

Once Stephanie Vaquer got the hot tag, she ran over the competition and won with a SVB to Dalys to seal the victory.

This never really got going. Less than 10 minutes, it was mostly about putting over Vaquer down the stretch. It may have worked better as an NXT TV match.

The drama of Vaquer facing her former mentor Dalys never translated well to the action in the ring, leading to forgettable action.

At least La Primera looked good and came out fresh for her ladder match later at Money in the Bank.

Result

Vaquer and Vice def. Tormenta and Dalys by pinfall.

Notable Moments

- Negro Casas watched in the crowd and supported his wife Dalys.

- Vice and Vaquer hit the Devil's Kiss in unison together to the loudest reaction of the crowd so far.

- Afterward, Vero Rodriguez interviewed the winners. La Primera promised she was still ready to fight in Money in the Bank later.

Legado del Fantasma vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown

3 of 6

Santos Escobar tried to make a statement with Angel and Berto, but El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano and Psycho Clown gave them a strong fight.

In the end, Escobar caught Wagner alone in the ring for a Phantom Driver to win.

This was sloppier than the opening six-man tag but much better at selling the drama of the action. It was easy to get behind the AAA stars fighting off Legado del Fantasma.

On a fresh stage with so many fresh faces introduced to a new audience, this was a chance to sell three of the more unique stars of AAA. It was a mixed result.

Pagano had the worst introduction, missing his marks multiple times and rarely selling the action.

Psycho and Wagner though looked like they belonged in a big way and kept the action rolling with the great heel trio on the other side.

The crowd was genuinely invested in the AAA stars emerging victorious, which made Legado's win feel like it mattered.

Hopefully, this is the only beginning of Escobar making the most of this AAA partnership to raise his stock again.

Result

Escobar, Angel and Berto def. Wagner, Psycho and Pagano by pinfall.

NXT NA Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Rey Fenix vs. Laredo Kid

4 of 6

"All Ego" Ethan Page showed why he is the North American champion in a chaotic Fatal 4-Way battle.

He threw Je'Von Evans out onto Rey Fenix on the floor then hit the Upside Down Frown for the pinfall on Laredo Kid.

This match picked up the night in a big way from the second minute as Fenix and Evans tried to out-speed one another. The pace never slowed, even with All Ego keeping the heat on him throughout.

While it would have been great to see more AAA talent in singles spots like this, it is hard to argue that this was not a perfect line-up to drive the action to a show-stealer.

Page just won the North American Championship, so it was unlikely he was going to lose the gold. The action though sold a couple dramatic near-falls.

This would have been a perfect moment for a crowd-pleasing title change. The Young OG had the whole crowd behind him down the stretch.

Result

Page def. Laredo, Evans and Fenix by pinfall to retain the North American Championship.

Grade

A-

Notable Moments

- Laredo came out with his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship, the only AAA championship highlighted besides the AAA Mega Championship.

- Konnan took full credit for discovering Fenix and making him a star. He also stated Fenix was the real reason this partnership came together.

- Evans dived over the top rope and through Page over the Spanish announce table.

- Fenix caught Laredo with a Spanish Fly, but Page grabbed him afterward for the Ego's Edge. Evans broke up the pin with a springboard splash.

- Afterward, AAA hyped the history of Triplemania as must-see with the next edition of the event on August 16.

AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Chad Gable

5 of 6

Even though Chad Gable nearly beat El Hijo del Vikingo multiple times in this battle, the champion fought through pain in his ankle to hit the 630 splash for the victory.

After a night of fast-paced action, Gable set a much more deliberate pace early in this contest. That pace showcased Vikingo's overall game in the ring.

The champion impressed throughout with his unmatched high-flying ability but also kept up with the challenger technically and in the striking game.

For those that knew the greatness of the champion, this may not have been a surprise, but WWE fans witnessed so much of what makes Vikingo great for the first time.

This was the clearest and strongest indicator of the WWE vs. AAA showcase of Worlds Collide, and the champion looked like he was just a little better throughout than one of WWE's top rising heels.

The match perfectly closed out the night and will be easily the most celebrated part of the show. Hopefully, it is only the beginning of finding new ways to celebrate the best talent of AAA for a WWE audience.

Result

Vikingo def. Gable by pinfall to retain the AAA Mega Championship.

Grade

A

Notable Moments

- Vikingo successfully met Gable on the mat early much to the surprise of the challenger.

- The champion blasted Gable on the back with a 630 splash to the floor off a rope walk.

- The challenger set up a table outside early, but after multiple teases, Gable moonsaulted into Vikingo on the table.

- Vikingo nearly picked up the win off a springboard twisting 450 splash.

- Gable went for a moonsault, but Vikingo ducked it and headed to the top. Gable caught him with a super-piledriver for a near-fall.

- The champion caught the challenger with a dropkick into a diving Mexican Destroyer on the apron for another near-fall.

- The AAA roster came out to celebrate Vikingo's victory, ending the night with the champion on El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.'s shoulders.

Overall Show

6 of 6

As a first act in the WWE era of AAA, this was a fine show. The final two matches were great. Most of the talent shined on a fresh stage.

However, it did not feel like a night that will be remembered. Much of the focus was on introducing fans to AAA, but so many stars were caught up in multi-man action with little story.

The women's division was underrepresented. Stars like Mr. Iguana over-performed while stars like Pagano under-performed in their spot.

WWE's talent, mostly stars underused on the current roster, stood out at times more than the AAA acts.

This was not the type of show that would make me tune in immediately for more AAA action beyond wanting to see more El Hijo del Vikingo.

If WWE wants to truly launch AAA on American soil, shows like this need to have more stakes, bigger stars and bigger spotlights on the luchadors going forward.
