NBA Finals 2025 Updated Betting Odds After Haliburton, Pacers Steal Game 1 vs. Thunder

Scott PolacekJun 6, 2025

The Indiana Pacers may have stolen home-court advantage and taken an early series lead with Thursday's 111-110 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, but they still aren't NBA Finals favorites.

Far from it, in fact.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Thunder are -330 (bet $330 to win $100) to win the NBA Finals as of Friday at 8 a.m. ET. Indiana is +265 (bet $100 to win $265).

While it may be notable that Indiana remains such a significant underdog even with a 1-0 advantage in the series, it is still quite the odds shift. After all, the Eastern Conference representative was +560 with the Thunder checking in at -800 before the series started.

It also isn't that difficult to make a case for OKC.

The Thunder led the entirety of Thursday's Game 1 until Tyrese Haliburton's winning shot with 0.3 seconds remaining and clearly bothered the Pacers with their suffocating defense. The visitors turned it over 24 times and struggled to get clean looks until their late charge to steal the win.

The Thunder are also 4-3 on the road these playoffs and only need to win one of three games in Indiana to steal home-court advantage back after losing it.

Still, betting against the Pacers at this point seems like quite the risky endeavor.

They are the comeback kings with dramatic turnarounds in at least one game in each of their four postseason series. Thursday was just the latest example of a postseason of improbable comebacks:

The home crowds in Indiana also figure to be electric given the franchise's opportunity to win its first NBA championship in history. The Pacers are 6-2 at home in these playoffs and also didn't even play particularly well in Thursday's win.

It isn't difficult to envision Haliburton and Co. cutting down on the turnovers and playing in a way that they don't fall behind by double digits in future contests.

But even if they do, they have continuously proven they can overcome those deficits.
