FanDuel Bans Bettor Who Shared Video Heckling Gabby Thomas at Track Event

Doric SamJun 4, 2025

The bettor who shared a video of himself heckling star sprinter Gabby Thomas during this past weekend's Grand Slam Track event in Philadelphia to win his parlay is facing the consequences of his actions.

Per ESPN's David Purdum, FanDuel said it banned the bettor, who goes by "Mr. 100k A Day" on multiple social media platforms.

"FanDuel condemns in the strongest terms abusive behavior directed towards athletes," a FanDuel spokesperson said in a statement, per Purdum. "Threatening or harassing athletes is unacceptable and has no place in sports. This customer is no longer able to wager with FanDuel."

After Thomas came up short against Melissa Jefferson-Wooden at the third meet of Grand Slam Track's inaugural season, the bettor made a social media post that included a video of him heckling Thomas before her race alongside screenshots of his winnings from two-leg and four-leg parlays on FanDuel, which indicated that he wagered a total of $1,200 and won more than $2,500. The post was captioned: "I made Gabby lose by heckling her. And it made my parlay win."

Thomas, a three-time gold medalist in the Paris Olympics last summer, posted a response to the user, saying he followed her around throughout the day while insulting her before her race:

Grand Slam Track announced on Monday that it was "conducting a full investigation into the reprehensible behavior captured on video" and working "to identify the individual involved and will take appropriate action as necessary." FanDuel followed suit and wasted little time handing down its punishment.

Multiple sports leagues have been committed to policing fan behavior amid increased incidents surrounding athlete mistreatment both in person and on social media. FanDuel's decision and similar repercussions could help prevent these occurrences from continuing to happen going forward.
