AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest 2025 Results, Winners, Live Grades and Highlights

Kevin BergeJun 4, 2025

All Elite Wrestling delivered a rare four-hour event on Wednesday with Fyter Fest—back-to-back episodes of Dynamite and Collision—at the Mission Ballroom in Denver.

Kenny Omega put the International Championship on the line in a Fatal 4-Way against Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King and CMLL's Máscara Dorada.

"Timeless" Toni Storm teamed up with Mina Shirakawa against Julia Hart and Skye Blue, while Storm's All In challenger Mercedes Moné watched on commentary.

Jon Moxley fought Mark Briscoe in a non-title grudge match due to the latter's recent interference with The Death Riders.

FTR fought two of CMLL's best, Atlantis Jr. and Templario, to further showcase Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler as the best tag team in the world.

Kevin Knight returned to action alongside "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Komander to get revenge against La Facción Ingobernable: Rush, The Beast Mortos and Dralístico.

"The Toxic Spider" Thekla made her in-ring debut one week after laying out Jamie Hayter, and The Hurt Syndicate would speak on the future.

This was a huge show for All Elite Wrestling that would further set the stage for All In on July 12.

Will Ospreay Challenges Swerve Strickland and Agrees to Fight Lio Rush

1 of 14

Tony Schiavone brought out Will Ospreay to discuss his brawl with Swerve Strickland after Dynamite last week.

The Aerial Assassin questioned if Swerve Strickland might be a threat to his goal of taking the AEW World Championship from The Death Riders and Jon Moxley.

He challenged The Mogul to fight him next week at AEW Summer Blockbuster. CRU interrupted with Lio Rush challenging Ospreay to a match.

It is fun to have Ospreay working with so many different people at this stage as he has been caught up in the Don Callis Family drama for so long.

In particular, his natural style selling the wild over-the-top drama of Hangman Adam Page and Swerve is a fun to look back on one of AEW's best feuds.

With four hours to fill and a limited card announced, this show will likely book matches impromptu more often than usual for AEW.

Ospreay vs. Rush may have an obvious result, but it should be fun to see what Rush can do working off someone that can move nearly as fast as him.

This could have been tighter, but Ospreay made it fun and set the clear stakes for his rematch next week with Swerve.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

- The camera caught Toni Storm heading into the arena, who promised she was ready to tango.

- Rush referenced that he and Action Andretti just got back from Japan where they had competed for GLEAT over the weekend.

- Ospreay mocked his own fake tan as he accepted Rush's challenge.

- AEW showed a highlight video for Místico and announced he would compete next week at Summer Blockbuster.

Jon Moxley vs. Mark Briscoe

2 of 14

Even with the frequent interference of Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta, Mark Briscoe pushed Jon Moxley nearly to the limit.

The AEW world champion finally caught Briscoe with the Bulldog Choke, causing him to pass out.

This was a physical battle between two of the most cerebral performers in AEW. It got bloody early and continued to ramp up to some solid near-falls.

Even non-title, it was obvious that Briscoe could not beat the champion, but the Jay Driller almost sold the upset.

The frequent interference though did not let this quite reach its peak. Too often the pacing of the match would slow to allow a cheap shot on the outside.

This is a match that likely would have been better positioned as an AEW World Championship match earlier in Mox's run, adding stakes to the brawl.

Result

Mox def. Briscoe by referee stoppage with choke hold submission.

Grade

B-

Notable Moments

- AEW re-aired Mark's promo on Mox from Collision, explaining that he needed to show his kids that he never quits by fighting the leader of The Death Riders again.

- Shafir distracted the referee to allow Yuta to attack Briscoe at multiple points in this match. The crowd gave Yuta heavy heat.

- Mox broke open Briscoe on the outside, leaving him with an impressive crimson mask throughout much of the match.

- Briscoe hit the Jay Driller but was slow to the cover, leading to a kick-out. It was the first time anyone in AEW had kicked out of the Jay Driller.

"Timeless" Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa vs. Julia Hart and Skye Blue

3 of 14

Mercedes Moné joined commentary but had her own table set up with wine and steak. She focused more on her phone than the action.

After a tough match for Mina Shirakawa, "Timeless" Toni Storm got the hot tag and turned the corner. Mina took out Julia Hart, and The Timeless One made Skye Blue tap out to the TCM Chickenwing.

This was a delightful fast-paced ride that showcased the growing women's tag team division. Hart and Blue were the better team for much of the match, but they let Storm rest too long and paid for it.

The CEO played her role well at ringside, focused entirely on mocking Storm. It was a shame though that she only had a working commentary headset for a short time in this segment.

On the road to All In, it seems like Storm and Moné should continue to run into each other, but the question remains: how will they escalate their rivalry over the next month?

Result

Storm and Mina def. Blue and Hart by pinfall.

Grade

B+

Notable Moments

- After a tough landing outside for Storm, The CEO got up with wine in hand to mock the champion as "pathetic".

- Mina was isolated for a long stretch of this match until she hit a diving Slingblade to finally get Storm the hot tag.

- Storm and Toni tried to kiss, but Hart and Blue broke it up. The faces fought them off and danced together before both hit running hip attacks.

- After winning, The Timeless One stole The CEO's dinner and ate it ravenously in front of her.

MJF Challenges Místico/"Speedball" Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight and Komander vs. LFI

4 of 14

MVP questioned if any tag team could step up to Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. MJF then told Místico he would watch his match next week and might face him at Grand Slam: Mexico.

"Speedball" MIke Bailey, Kevin Knight and Komander came out to challenge The Hurt Syndicate. MVP said they would need to earn a shot at fighting Lashley and Benjamin.

La Facción Ingobernable tried to ruin the moment for the return Kevin Knight, but he picked up the win after a "Speedball" Mike Bailey Time Adventure and The UFO to The Beast Mortos.

MVP came out and announced next week that the winning team would face The Hurt Syndicate at Summer Blockbuster. The faces laid out The Hurt Syndicate when they tried to attack them early.

This was a wild chaotic run of promo into action into promo that set the stage for an exciting trios match next week as well.

MJF has found his role with The Hurt Syndicate quickly, especially working perfectly off MVP as the two mic men of the group.

A match with Místico is an intriguing option for Grand Slam: Mexico, though it would be a mistake to have El Principe De Plata y Oro lose in Arena México.

The Hurt Syndicate vs. Bailey and Knight is also an exciting pairing that is likely to be the best title defense for The Hurt Syndicate so far.

Everyone was great in this match, though most of the match was especially impressive from LFI, who worked like a truly great trio in sequence time and again.

AEW seems averse to truly pushing La Facción Ingobernable, but Rush, Mortos and Dralístico could be great rivals for The Opps sooner than later.

Result

Bailey, Knight and Komander def. Mortos, Dralístico and Rush by pinfall.

Grade

A-

Notable Moments

- MJF mocked Will Ospreay for getting involved in Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland's business. The Hurt Syndicate saved MJF from Ospreay.

- MJF put over his latest movie role, Happy Gilmore 2, coming out on July 25.

- MVP translated Komander's Spanish insults for MJF.

- Komander, Knight and Bailey dived in sequence onto LFI, leading to the strongest "AEW" chant of the night so far.

"The Best Wrestler Alive" Max Caster vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

5 of 14

"The Best Wrestler Alive" Max Caster put five minutes on the clock for his open challenge, only for Powerhouse Hobbs to beat him in less than one minute.

It is hard to give this much of a grade, but it was fun to see Caster back in action. This gimmick remains a strong format to keep putting over the various dangerous men in AEW.

Assuming the rest of The Opps were not in attendance, this was a great way to keep them relevant for the night.

Moreover, Powerhouse gets an easy stat-boosting win that reminds everyone how dangerous he can be.

Result

Hobbs def. Caster by pinfall.

Grade

C

Notable Moments

- Caster brought out a "best wrestler alive" petition and made sure the referee Stephon Smith signed it.

International Championship Fatal 4-Way

6 of 14

Kenny Omega survived a wild Fatal 4-Way with Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King and Máscara Dorada, managing to catch Dorada with a One-Winged Angel to win.

The broadcast shifted to Collision as Kazuchika Okada arrived to face down the champion. Taunting evolved into a brawl.

The Cleaner almost hit The Rainmaker with a One-Winged Angel before Okada bailed from the ring.

As the "main event" of Dynamite, this was everything it promised to be. Omega remains champion while making three men look nearly unstoppable trying to take his title.

Castagnoli was the base for much of the violence, taking and dishing out physical offense.

He especially helped Dorada stand out in his biggest match to date for AEW. The CMLL star was electric throughout, creating new dynamics with each opponent in this contest.

The more opportunities that King gets, the better he looks. He made this match in a big way with his fast-paced, high-impact power offense.

The post-match brawl was fine, but what mattered most was the further confirmation that we are closing in on the next chapter of Omega vs. Okada, the first in AEW.

Result

Omega def. Dorada, King and Castagnoli by pinfall to retain the International Championship.

Grade

A

Notable Moments

- The mood changed when Omega arrived to "Take Flight" and crazy pyro.

- Castagnoli immediately attacked The Cleaner, but King led a trio attack on The Emissary of Violence until he rolled outside.

- After King drove Dorada into Omega in the corner, Castagnoli caught King with a European uppercut for a near-fall.

- King got broken up in the flurry and fought with a crimson mask through the late-stage of the action.

- Omega and Castagnoli accidentally showed off their tag team chemistry by hitting a Doomsday Uppercut on King together.

- The Emissary of Violence almost won again with a Neutralizer on King, but Omega broke it up.

- Dorada dived onto both King and Castagnoli outside, causing a "lucha" chant to break out.

- Before the Collision main event, Tony Schivaone announced Omega vs. Okada for All In with all the gold on the line with a contract signing at Summer Blockbuster.

Will Ospreay vs. Lio Rush/Hangman Adam Page

7 of 14

Lio Rush pushed Will Ospreay with the help of Action Andretti throughout this match, but The Aerial Assassin caught him with a Styles Clash to win.

CRU attacked Ospreay after the result, pushing Hangman Adam Page out to the ring to save The Aerial Assassin.

The Cowboy declared loudly that he would not take any assistance from Swerve Strickland.

He then promised to dethrone Jon Moxley, who appeared behind him followed by Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta. Ospreay returned with steel chairs to send The Death Riders into retreat.

This was a good match but a much more basic TV contest than Ospreay has delivered recently. This was about giving Rush a chance to wrestle a higher level competitor.

It likely also serves as a preview for CRU's rise up the card, backing up Ricochet in the future.

In that way, it was a success and set up a great transition into the first face-off of Hangman and Mox, selling that The Death Riders can strike at any time.

The drama of Mox, Hangman, Opreay and Swerve is AEW's best TV right now and likely to only get better until All In.

Result

Ospreay def. Rush by pinfall.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

- Before the match, Ricochet declared he was watching the four hours of action closely to find who could help him in AEW.

- Rush slapped Ospreay early to fuel his anger, pushing him to make mistakes.

- The crowd chanted "Lio sucks" as he kept control of the action. Nigel McGuinness declared the crowd had forgotten Rush's name.

- Andretti grabbed the leg of The Aerial Assassin to stop the Hidden Blade.

FTR vs. Atlantis Jr. and Templario

8 of 14

Templario and Atlantis Jr. had FTR on the ropes in this match, but Dax Harwood grabbed the leg of Templario to save Cash Wheeler from a suplex and allow him to pin the luchador for three.

Afterward, Stokely Hathaway reminded everyone that FTR is the winningest tag team in AEW history. Dax tried to speak afterward, but the booing was too much. He simply declared that Denver had missed their chance to hear him.

The heel turn for FTR has been revelatory. They are as good as they have ever been, and it is translating to the best tag team matches in AEW week after week.

The biggest compliment to this match is that Atlantis Jr. and Templario looked like the better tag team by the end of this contest. FTR put them over in a big way.

In particular, this was a massive showcase for Templario, who looked unstoppable.

AEW has done a great job integrating CMLL talent ahead of Grand Slam: Mexico, and it made it easy to get excited about seeing more of these luchadors in future weeks.

Result

FTR def. Atlantis Jr. and Templario by pinfall.

Grade

B+

Notable Moments

- Harwood insulted Templario, only to back off and offer a handshake. When Templario accepted and squeezed his hand, Harwood poked him in the eye.

- Harwood tried to convince an audience member to jump the barricade and try to pin him as FTR headed to the back.

Protoshita and Hechicero vs. Los Outrunners and Bandido

9 of 14

Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita found quick chemistry with Hechicero to keep up with the energetic trio of Bandido, Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd.

In the end, Protoshita broke up Los Outrunners' signature handshake and set up the brainbuster from The Protostar to win.

This was great fun, helped by every match on this night getting good time. Los Outrunners and Bandido may have lost, but they looked like equals to the established heels.

No man in CMLL has been utilized more by AEW than Hechicero, who has now aligned with the Don Callis Family. Hopefully, this leads to more wins in AEW.

He bumped big for the wild colorful babyface team and still looked completely at home alongside the top two of The Don Callis Family.

This was also likely a sign that Takeshita and Fletcher will be the top team of The Don Callis Family on the road to All In, perhaps even stepping up to The Hurt Syndicate before long.

Result

Fletcher, Takeshita and Hechicero def. Floyd, Magnum and Bandido by pinfall.

Grade

B+

Notable Moments

- Callis revealed backstage that he was now working with CMLL's Hechicero, who he called the best luchador in the world.

- Fletcher and Takeshita were labelled "Protoshita" for their entrance, selling them as a true tag team in the Don Callis Family.

- In support of their tag team partner, Los Outrunners came out in masks for this contest.

- Magnum pulled out a slow but impressive rope-walk arm drag on Hechicero.

- Hechicero and Takeshita saved the pin after Fletcher took a bodyslam into a Bandido frog splash.

Tay Melo Returns to Save Anna Jay

10 of 14

After a quick recap of last week's brutal Street Fight, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford dragged Anna Jay to the stage.

The Megasus threatened to send Anna off the stage, but Tay Melo made her return, attacking both heels until officials intervened.

It was great to see Tay back in an AEW ring. She has not wrestled a match for AEW since January 2023, so it may take her time to get fully back to ring shape.

However, she has the perfect landing spot, reforming her team with Anna while Harley Cameron recovers from injury. Cameron can come back as a third to help them once healthy.

TayJay was the best established women's team in 2022, and they should be a key part of AEW's future women's tag team division.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

- Melo came out with war paint in Brazil colors and a crazed look without fear in the face of Bayne.

- Anthony Bowens challenged Kyle Fletcher to a match next week at Summer Blockbuster for Pride Month.

ROH TV Title: Nick Wayne (c) vs. Sammy Guevara vs. Lee Johnson vs. AR Fox

11 of 14

Nick Wayne almost lost multiple times, but he managed to catch AR Fox alone in the ring and hit the Prodigy Plex for the victory.

After a grueling run in the Best of the Super Juniors, Wayne went right back to work and shined again as ROH world television champion.

This was a fun Fatal 4-Way, highlighting the high-flying depth of the AEW (and ROH) roster. Guevara especially continues to re-acclimate to the AEW roster well.

AEW has kept him front and center in the ring since he won the gold, though it was disappointing for Christian to disappear from TV while Wayne was in Japan.

The story is rolling again and hopefully reaching a dramatic turning point. Wayne can only be disrespected so many times before he fights back.

Result

Wayne def. Fox, Johnson and Guevara by pinfall to retain the ROH World Television Championship.

Grade

B

Notable Moments

- Christian once again delivered the surprise news to Wayne on his return that he would defend his title in a Fatal-Way later.

- Christian and Mother Wayne watched the action from ringside. Blake Christian also tried to help Johnson win from ringside.

- Ricochet joined commentary and quickly made clear he wants loyalty like Christican has loyalty in The Patriarchy.

- Guevara nearly won with the GTH on Wayne.

- Fox got a loud name chant then took out Wayne and Guevara with a senton bomb to the floor.

- The Patriarch gave Wayne the title and hugged him afterward, showing a surprising amount of affection.

"The Toxic Spider" Thekla vs. Lady Frost

12 of 14

"The Toxic Spider" Thekla made a dominant debut, shutting down Lady Frost's best offensive attempts before hitting a Spear into The Death Trap for the submission.

Afterward, The Toxic Spider locked back in her submission until Queen Aminata made the save.

This was a fairly basic first showcase for Thekla, who dominated Frost throughout. She got a couple chances to show her savvy technical edges in the ring, luring Frost into making mistakes.

However, the real showcase is likely to be when she fight Aminata. She will need to remain dangerous and dominant even against the more established stars in the women's division to rise quickly.

AEW clearly has big plans for her with Jamie Hayter sooner than later, so these early matches will be most focused on establishing her before she fights a former world champion.

Result

Thekla def. Frost by submission.

Grade

C

Notable Moments

- AEW showed a highlight video for Thekla's debut as well as showcasing the end of her Stardom career earlier in the night.

- Aminata backstage challenged The Toxic Spider for Summer Blockbuster.

Paragon and Daniel Garcia vs. The Don Callis Family

13 of 14

After a competitive, fast-paced tag team battle, Adam Cole caught Rocky Romero with the Last Shot to win.

This was a solid tag team match, but it did not reach the heights expected of its spot as the last match of the night.

Instead, it was mostly throwaway beyond establishing that The Dragon Slayer is staying a face and not joining The Don Callis Family as teased last week.

It was surprising that this did not at least lead to a rematch announced between Cole and Kyle Fletcher, but AEW may be hoping to extend the wait for that match to All In.

It is the clearest angle for The Don Callis Family right now as Fletcher with the TNT Championship can elevate the threat level of The Family once more.

Result

Cole, Garcia, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly def. Romero, Trent Beretta, Lance Archer and Josh Alexander by pinfall.

Grade

C+

Notable Moments

- Early in the night, Cole convinced Garcia to help him and Paragon fight The Don Callis Family.

- The Dragon Slayer danced in defiance at Callis after the result.

- Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita came out afterward to glare at Paragon and check on their teammates.

Overall Show

14 of 14

Fyter Fest was a success for AEW as a whole, even if it was unnecessary to so clearly separate the Dynamite and Collision hours of the show in terms of booking.

Beyond the Kenny Omega face-off with Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay backing up Hangman Adam Page against The Death Riders, Collision was mostly filler.

It was good filler action but just not at the same special event pace as the first two hours of Fyter Fest.

The International Championship Fatal 4-Way was the true climax of the night while Kevin Knight, "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Komander vs. LFI and Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa vs. Julia Hart and Skye Blue were also great.

Thekla has arrived, but it feels like her real showcase will be next week against Queen Aminata. Most of the women's segments were rushed for the night.

Hopefully, with an even stronger card for Summer Blockbuster, the overall show next Wednesday will have a more consistent flow down the stretch.
