Bill Belichick Details Jordon Hudson's Job Duties, Reiterates No UNC Involvement
North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick provided insight regarding the job that his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has in relation to himself as well as the Tar Heels.
"Well, nothing with North Carolina," Belichick said during a Friday appearance on The Pivot Podcast (4:00 mark). "That would be number one. It would be personal opportunities. It could be a speaking thing, it could be an appearance on this or talk about that, or somebody wants, whatever happens to be an autograph or that type of thing. And so, she'll kind of help organize that for me."
The legendary former New England Patriots head coach also provided an explanation regarding reports of a request for her to be included on certain emails sent to him from the school.
"When North Carolina sent me emails saying, 'These people want to talk to you, these people want to talk to you, these people want to talk to you, these people want to talk to you.' I sent back an email saying, 'Can you please copy Jordon on these requests?' So she could at least filter through them, because there was nobody," Belichick explained (4:25 mark). "We didn't have a sports information guy."
"That was taken, because all emails are shared publicly, that was taken as Jordon's running the sports information department," he added.
Belichick was officially named the Tar Heels' next head coach in Dec. 2024, signing a five-year deal with the school. He's preparing to enter his first season with North Carolina after it wrapped up a 6-7 finish last year.
His relationship with Hudson in regards to the school has been a topic of discussion since his hiring, with one UNC official telling Adam Kilgore, Jesse Dougherty and Ben Strauss of the Washington Post that she's "very involved" in crafting his projected image online.
Belichick has previously denied any involvement between Hudson and the Tar Heels' football team and reiterated his claims on Monday.
