Jordon Hudson Reportedly 'Very Involved' in Crafting Bill Belichick's Projected Image

Timothy RappMay 14, 2025

The relationship between 73-year-old Bill Belichick, and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, continues to be something of a lightning rod for controversy as he heads into his first season as head coach of the North Carolina football team.

"It's just so odd," a UNC official told Adam Kilgore, Jesse Dougherty and Ben Strauss of the Washington Post regarding their relationship. "And we just don't know what's coming. Those two decide what they're going to do, and they do it."

"She is very, very involved in the crafting of Bill's projected image, everything you see on Instagram, all of that" the official added. "I know it's hard to separate out this image of Bill Belichick and Bill Belichick the North Carolina football coach. Maybe it sounds silly for me to try to separate the two things. But really the football side of Bill and now the public side of Bill have become two different things, and she is in charge of the public side."

The Belichick-Hudson relationship has raised eyebrows beyond just the nearly 50-year age gap between them.

There's been the normally stoic and reserved Belichick suddenly popping up in costumes and viral poses on Instagram; there was Hudson telling Tony Dokoupil of CBS Sunday Morning, "We're not talking about this," when asked a relatively innocuous question about how the pair met; there is the fact that the pair have reportedly established a business partnership alongside their romantic one, with the Washington Post noting that Belichick has asked for her to be included in media and publicity correspondences and she is now managing a number of companies that have ties to the head coach; there was the email sent to book publisher Simon & Schuster from Belichick, displeased with an article to be published in the Wall Street Journal.

"They are insanely suspicious of media," a person familiar with the situation revolving the email told the Washington Post. "It's almost Trumpian."

For basically his entire run as the head coach of the New England Patriots, Belichick was famous for trying to eliminate distractions and giving very little to the media. But now the man famous for repeating "We're on to Cincinnati" in 2014 rather than answering questions from reporters following a blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs has not only become the story, but has become a rather bizarre one.

And all before he's coached a single game for the Tar Heels. It's been quite the start to his tenure in Chapel Hill.
