Steve Kerr Says Warriors Have to 'Adapt' in Stephen Curry's Injury Absence vs. Wolves
The Golden State Warriors had a wrench thrown in their plans of a deep playoff run on Tuesday when star Stephen Curry suffered a strained hamstring that will leave him sidelined for at least a week.
It will be tough to win three more games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said the team is ready to "adapt" in Curry's absence.
"We're in that room right now talking about how we are going to approach it," Kerr said, per ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "What the lineups will look like. It's all part of it. Every year, the playoffs are about adapting, whether it is a game plan or an injury or lineup. We just have to adapt. We have done this before and we are confident we can do it again."

Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals will be the first playoff game Curry has missed since 2018. The Warriors are 9-3 in postseason games without Curry, though the roster looks significantly different now than it did the last time he was out.
Luckily for Golden State, it managed to get a win in Game 1 even without Curry for most of the contest. The Timberwolves shot 39.5 percent from the field and an abysmal 17.2 percent from deep in the loss, but the Warriors shouldn't count on that kind of performance in Game 2.
With Curry out, the Dubs will look to stars Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to step up, along with the sharpshooting Buddy Hield, who had a game-high 24 points on Tuesday.
