LSU failed to advance beyond the semifinal round on Thursday night, as its score of 197.5250 wasn't enough to beat out UCLA and Utah. Dunne was unable to participate in the tournament, as she was sidelined with an avulsion fracture in her kneecap that she suffered on March 6.
Her future with the Tigers was uncertain immediately following the team's 2024 victory, but she eventually announced that she'd be returning to the school for a fifth season.
Dunne's popularity has risen throughout her tenure at LSU, amassing over 8 million followers on TikTok and 5.3 million followers on Instagram. She's also in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes, who is coming off a National League Rookie of the Year victory.
While Dunne couldn't help her LSU teammates avoid a semifinal defeat in the national championships, she still looked back on her time with the school fondly.
