Masters 2025 Tee Times, Pairings and Predictions for Saturday
Scottie Scheffler proved to be the most dangerous golfer at Augusta National Golf Club over the last few years.
The two-time Masters champion sits three shots back of Justin Rose heading into Saturday's third round.
It would come as a surprise to absolutely no one if Scheffler catapulted himself from a three-shot deficit to the outright lead after the third round.
While Scheffler looks like the most dangerous golfer on paper, there are countless other former major winners inside the top 20, including Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau.

Scottie Scheffler Turns in More Consistent Round, Closes Round in Lead
2 of 4
The minimum expectation for Scottie Scheffler on Saturday is to finish with a share of the lead.
It's a wild thing to say about any golfer three shots back in a loaded major-tournament field, but that's what we've come to expect out of Scheffler.
Scheffler took control of the 2024 Masters on the weekend. He got into a solo lead after the third round and ran away from the field in the final round.
Scheffler just needs to be more consistent around Augusta to make up the deficit. He had five bogeys in an uncharacteristic up-and-down Friday.
If he eliminates the bogeys, Scheffler is more than capable of shooting five-or-six-under and flipping the leaderboard in his favor.
Justin Rose Drops out of Top Five
3 of 4
Justin Rose does not have history on his side.
The Englishman has six consecutive weekend rounds in the 70s at Augusta.
Rose still finished inside the top 30 in all three of those appearances, but he also finished outside the top five in those tournaments.
A similar situation could unfold on Saturday with a slew of golfers hunting down Rose, who sits at the top at eight-under.
To further complicate matters, Rose is coming off a weekend at the Texas Open where he shot 74 and 76.
Rose's first two rounds were great, and he can put together two more solid rounds to win the green jacket, but history suggests a drop off is in the near future.
Xander Schauffele Makes Surge Toward Top
4 of 4
Xander Schauffele quietly put together one of Friday's best rounds.
The two-time major winner improved his score by four strokes to move into a tie for 17th at two-under.
Schauffele is a prime candidate to make a surge up the leaderboard with a low round on Saturday.
He is typically known for his success at U.S. Open courses, but Schauffele owns four top-10 finishes at Augusta, the last two of which occurred in 2023 and 2024.
He may not finish the day in the lead, but Schauffele can easily work his way into the top five or top 10 by Saturday's end to contend for the green jacket on Sunday.
