The wait finally ended on Monday night's episode of Raw in Brussels, Belgium, as John Cena explained his actions at Elimination Chamber.

After shocking the pro wrestling world by attacking Cody Rhodes and turning heel at Elimination Chamber earlier this month, Cena blamed the fans in the promo he cut on Raw.

Cena claimed that the fans had been selfish for the past two decades and didn't actually care about him, which is why he decided to turn his back on them.

Before even uttering a word, Cena received massive heat from the live crowd in Brussels, and WWE higher-ups were reportedly thrilled with the reaction.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE officials were "ecstatic" with the vitriol that was directed toward the 16-time world champion.

After Cena trashed the crowd for several minutes, Rhodes interrupted him and expressed his hope that the old version of Cena would show up at WrestleMania 41.

Rhodes also called Cena a "whiny b---h," which elicited a hugely positive reaction from the crowd.

WWE made the interesting decision to have Cena keep his theme song and look rather than changing them up, and Cena explained that he was staying the same because the fans didn't deserve anything new.

The fans didn't seem to like that explanation, which indicates that WWE may be on to something in terms of getting the desired negative reaction for Cena.

Travis Scott Appearances Reportedly Still in WWE's Plans

Despite rapper Travis Scott reportedly being responsible for injuring Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, it doesn't appear as though WWE has any plans to stop using him.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Carrier), there are "tentative plans" for Scott to be utilized on WWE programming "here and there" moving forward. He has already done some wrestling training as well, and there are reportedly plans in place for him to do more.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlePurists) reported that the black eye Rhodes suffered during a beatdown at the hands of Cena, Scott and The Rock at Elimination Chamber was caused by Scott.

Meltzer (h/t Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats) later reported that Scott "got all kinds of heat backstage" because of it, and some in WWE felt he "shouldn't have been out there nor put in that position in the first place."

Despite that report, WWE head of creative Triple H doubled down on Scott's involvement with Rhodes, Cena and The Rock at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (h/t Carrier), saying: "We have Travis Scott in the middle of a storyline right now that will get bigger as we head into WrestleMania, and coming out of it."

During a press conference at Elimination Chamber, The Rock suggested that Scott may wrestle some matches in WWE at some point.

Fightful Select (h/t Carrier) confirmed that discussions had taken place about Scott wrestling amid his training.

WWE has had plenty of success with celebrities wrestling in recent years, including Logan Paul, Bad Bunny and Johnny Knoxville. While Scott has a lot to live up to in comparison to them, he figures to be put in the best possible position to succeed.

Stone Cold WrestleMania Appearance Reportedly Uncertain

Although WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be in Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41 weekend next month, it still isn't known if he will make an appearance at WrestleMania.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), there is no indication that anything related to WrestleMania 41 has been pitched to Austin to this point, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it hasn't or won't happen.

Fightful was reportedly told initially to not expect Austin to get physical at WrestleMania since he underwent a knee replacement in January, but given that The Texas Rattlesnake will be in town to sign autographs and do photo ops at WWE World, it isn't outside the realm of possibility.

Earlier this month, Austin confirmed to Adrian Hernandez (h/t Cultaholic.com's Jack Atkins) that he would be in town for WrestleMania, but he also said he hadn't had any talks about appearing at WrestleMania.

Last year, Austin told Hernandez he was "close" to making a WrestleMania appearance, but he decided against it due to family reasons.

Austin would have been the ideal run-in for the WrestleMania 40 main event between Rhodes and Roman Reigns since he could have counteracted his longtime rival in The Rock. That spot went to The Undertaker instead.

The Rock figures to be involved in the WrestleMania 41 main event as well in the corner of Cena for his WWE Championship match against Rhodes.

Rhodes told Hernandez (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News) back in November that the "invitation's there" for Austin to show up at WrestleMania 41.

Austin, who is now 60 years old, last got physical at WrestleMania 38 when he came out of a 19-year retirement to beat Kevin Owens in the main event of Night 1.

Stone Cold looked to be in excellent condition and put on a strong performance, which is perhaps reason enough to have hope that he could at least do something at WrestleMania 41.
