Is TKO Ruining WWE's Momentum? 🤔
After months of teases, Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract back in January, turning on Nia Jax in the process and beating her for the WWE women's title.
Amid Stratton's rise to the top, teasers began airing on SmackDown for the return of Flair, who missed about one year of action due to a knee injury.
It was eventually revealed that The Queen would be making her in-ring return as part of the 2025 women's Royal Rumble match, and she was instantly among the top contenders to win.
Despite entering the match in the latter stages at No. 27, Flair was responsible for four eliminations, including the final one, as she tossed out Roxanne Perez, who had been in the contest for over one hour.
With that, she won the women's Rumble match, and she became the first woman in WWE history to win the Rumble on multiple occasions.
After the win, The Queen weighed her options for WrestleMania 41, teasing the possibility of going after the WWE Women's Championship, Women's World Championship or even the NXT Women's Championship.
She ultimately chose Stratton as her WrestleMania opponent, and it wasn't long before she put her game plan into action.
In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Flair attempted to intimidate and belittle her opponent every chance she got, and there were times when it appeared as though she was getting inside Stratton's head.
They exchanged personal attacks, and Flair even jumped The Center of the Universe in the parking lot about one week before their match.
Flair may have had the upper hand entering WrestleMania, but Stratton was at her best on The Grandest Stage of Them All, beating arguably the greatest female performer in 'Mania history to retain her title.
