Calling True or False on 5 Recent Chelsea Transfer Rumours
The Premier League fixture list for 2015/16 has been announced, confirming once and for all that the previous season is well and truly in our rear-view mirror.
It's all about looking ahead now, and a key part of doing that will revolve around which players are bought and sold in the transfer window.
The rumours have long been there for Chelsea, and Jose Mourinho recently revealed his transfer plans for the coming weeks.
"I want a striker, because we lost our legend [Didier Drogba]," he said at the launch of BT Sport's European football channel for 2015/16 (h/t International Business Times).
"[We also need] a defender and a midfield player to give a little bit more competitiveness to the squad, bring some new blood in, put some players a little bit under pressure."
Mourinho clearly has his targets, so of all the names being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, whom are Chelsea actually interested in? And who will leave?
Read on as we play a game of true or false with some of the latest rumours surrounding Chelsea.
Falcao to Join on Loan from Monaco
1 of 5
Since Didier Drogba announced his departure from Chelsea, the big question has related to who will replace him at Stamford Bridge.
By all accounts, that man is likely to be Radamel Falcao.
Despite a poor season on loan at Manchester United, it seems Jose Mourinho is eager to bring him to west London.
It's not often the Chelsea boss will discuss other players, but when he does, it's clear what his motives are, as we've seen with Falcao.
"If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it," Mourinho recently told DirecTV Sports (h/t BBC Sport).
"It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United."
Since then, Falcao has teased reporters when pressed about the Chelsea rumours, saying, relayed by ESPN FC: "It can be, you will know soon."
That just about confirms this is a done deal.

Petr Cech to Depart for Arsenal
2 of 5
Speaking of players and club officials talking openly to the press, it's not often we hear from Chelsea goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon.
The Frenchman has been only too eager to discuss Petr Cech's future, suggesting he will choose Arsenal as his next destination.
"[Cech] wants to stay in England, but I don't know where are the discussions. The Premier League is his primary objective. But it will also depends on the conditions," Lollichon was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
"The advantage is that Arsenal is a top club, with a philosophy that pleases him and that is at London. It is a base for consideration."
The article also reports that Arsene Wenger is confident Cech will join the Gunners this summer in light of the goalkeeper's recent meeting with Chelsea officials.
Verdict: True
Asmir Begovic to Replace Petr Cech
3 of 5
If Petr Cech leaves Chelsea, it's believed Jose Mourinho will look to replace him with Asmir Begovic.
The Telegraph reports that the Blues will make an £8 million bid to bring the Stoke City goalkeeper to Stamford Bridge as backup to Thibaut Courtois.
It would be a difficult move to understand from Begovic's perspective. He's the clear No. 1 at Stoke and moving to Chelsea gives him no guarantee of first-team football.
Mourinho has already been ruthless with Cech, a goalkeeper who served him so well before, so we can hardly expect Begovic will receive better treatment.
Chelsea will sign another goalkeeper, but not one as high profile as Begovic.
This smacks of crafty work from an agent using the rumours around Cech to his client's advantage.
Verdict: False
Antoine Griezmann to Join from Atletico Madrid...
4 of 5
With his £43 million buyout clause, Antoine Griezmann is going to be hot property this summer.
Given his exceptional form in his debut campaign with Atletico Madrid, that was always going to be the case. But with that clause meaning he is available for a relatively attainable fee, his stock has been heightened all the more.
Chelsea need to add a goalscorer to their attacking midfield, and Griezmann has been highlighted as the man to do that, according to the Times.
It makes sense too, given that Atletico play a similar style to Chelsea, which would allow Griezmann to settle into a system with which he is familiar.
And at the price Chelsea would pay, Griezmann's purchase would fit into the strict financial model the club has implemented in more recent times.
Verdict: True
...but It Means Curtains for Loic Remy
5 of 5
Any move for Antoine Griezmann could end Loic Remy's Chelsea career, according to the Express.
The rumours are such that Remy is unhappy with the proposed loan deal for Radamel Falcao and wants to leave Stamford Bridge.
If Chelsea can sign Griezmann, they will allow Remy to leave.
However, that would give Jose Mourinho even more work, as he'd need to find another striker. Griezmann isn't an out-and-out striker like Remy despite his goals return.
We're not totally sure Mourinho is convinced by Patrick Bamford, while Dominic Solanke and company are too young and raw to be expected to play the third-choice role at the juncture.
Remy scored some vital goals for Chelsea last season, and if he leaves, it won't be because of any deal for Griezmann.
