WWE Money in the Bank 2015 Results: Power Ranking Every Match at PPV
In terms of excitement and drama, Money in the Bank 2015 provided plenty for WWE fans to salivate over.
Six matches on the card produced some real classics as well as a couple of contests that didn't quite hit the mark.
But although the bad matches were pretty poor, the good ones were arguably some of the finest of the last few months.
The likes of Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins continue to establish themselves as the WWE's major heels, and after standout matches, the pair inevitably feature prominently in this ranking of every match at Money in the Bank.
6. Big Show vs. Ryback
1 of 6
The Intercontinental Championship match between Big Show and Ryback was arguably the poorest of the entire night.
It never really got off the ground in terms of chemistry, and before it even had a chance to get going, it was over. At just over five minutes in length, it was far from the ideal first defense for Ryback he won the belt, and with a lame ending to boot, it didn't have much to write home about.
Two big men inevitably produced a contest that was slow and stale, and the obvious addition of The Miz moving forward will at least give Ryback's reign as champion a shot in the arm.
5. The Prime Time Players vs. The New Day
2 of 6
There wasn't much in the Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Championship matches at Money in the Bank, in truth.
They were both less than six minutes in length, but The Prime Time Players get the nod for managing to finally get a shot at the head of the tag division.
At least The New Day has some form of momentum and intrigue behind it too, which made the interest in this match slightly more appealing than Ryback vs. Big Show.
However, moving forward it would be nice to see WWE invest more time in the tag division.
4. Nikki Bella vs. Paige
3 of 6
Nikki Bella's ever-extending run as Divas Champion continued at Money in the Bank, and a controversial finish at least made for something interesting.
Too often the Divas division has been up-and-down, but if The Bella Twins are going to be permanent heels, then there should at least be some substance moving forward.
Paige and Nikki both put on a decent showing, with their brutality coming to the fore on occasions in a rivalry that is starting to get going.
The rivalry should continue, especially after the controversial switch at the end which eventually gifted Nikki the win.
3. Money in the Bank Ladder Match
4 of 6
The top three matches on this list were without doubt in a different league than the three before them.
This year's Money in the Bank certainly wasn't the standout bout in the history of this contest, but it certainly wasn't the worst.
As expected, some stars took the opportunity by the scruff of the neck and showcased their talents well. Neville put in a good showing, and Roman Reigns was perhaps the standout man in the bout until he was taken down by Bray Wyatt.
Reigns' titanic leap over the top rope onto all six foes was a nice segment, and the interference of The New Day to aid Kofi Kingston was also a good vehicle to help establish it as a true heel stable.
Throw in Randy Orton's many RKOs, and you had a solid enough Money in the Bank match.
2. John Cena vs. Kevin Owens
5 of 6
On to the two best and most enjoyable matches of the night, starting with the continuation of John Cena and Kevin Owens' brilliant feud.
This match had brutality, surprises in terms of the in-ring action on show and plenty of notable moments.
Cena promised he would introduce a number of new moves to try to down Owens, which was exactly what he did.
There was plenty for the crowd to get invested in, including a whole host of near-falls and some outstanding wrestling from the first bell to the last.
Throw in all the tension and the twist with Owens' powerbombing Cena onto the apron, and you have a real contender for Match of the Year.
1. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose
6 of 6
Just when you think Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose couldn't top their previous classic, they somehow managed to go one better.
Elimination Chamber was good, but Money in the Bank was far and away the best meeting of these two incredible foes.
Indeed, this was Seth Rollins' best performance as WWE world heavyweight champion since he claimed the title at WrestleMania, and he was at his very best from start to finish. He was ruthless, brutal and played the heel character superbly in a bout that never stopped giving.
Ambrose kept picking himself off the mat to try to stop Rollins from winning, and even the ending ensured that Ambrose continued to look relatively strong.
He will need to find other work now that Brock Lesnar's return is imminent, but in terms of Rollins, the champ looks in brilliant shape after yet another incredible match.
