Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Jack Wilshere, Daniele Rugani
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere wants to feel “wanted” by the club, and he won't consider a transfer move away unless his new side are truly in for him, as the England international weighed in on the latest rumours regarding his future.
The 2014-15 campaign was one to forget for Wilshere, and some have questioned his future with the club, but as reported by Metro's Sean Kearns, he still wants to make his mark at the Emirates. He said:
"I definitely wouldn’t go somewhere just because I’m a homegrown player.
I’d want to be wanted by a club. I want to be wanted by Arsenal.
I’ve grown up at Arsenal, I’m a homegrown player and, as long as Arsenal want me, I’m happy.

After making just 14 Premier League appearances during the 2014-15 season, per Kearns, the past season was yet another wasted campaign for the 23-year-old, who once again struggled with injuries.
Manchester City are reportedly interested in bringing Wilshere to the Etihad during the summer, via Kearns, and Bleacher Report's Andy Brassell thinks it's time for the player to move on:
Wilshere remains an exceptional talent, who broke into the Arsenal lineup at a very young age and has shown flashes of brilliance. But injuries and a perceived lack of maturity have held the player back, and his development has slowed down considerably in the past couple of years.
The Daily Mail's Matt Barlow thinks this summer will be key for Wilshere, suggesting he has some growing up to do. His reputation has certainly taken a hit in the past few years, to the point Paddy Power had to make this joke ahead of a recent match between England and Ireland.

But despite the jokes and controversies, Wilshere remains a supremely talented player. Health will always be a concern for the youngster, but his perceived character flaws could be worked on.
Sam Pilger highlighted some of his main qualities for Bleacher Report, although he was quick to point out Wilshere hasn't developed at the rate people were expecting:
"The midfielder has all the components to be a leading player for club and country; he is technically brilliant, quick, combative, can pick a pass, and is able to surge past opponents.
But he is hampered by inconsistent form, and an inability to impose himself on games. How many games has he ever truly dominated?
"
If he truly wants to feel wanted by the Gunners, his production on the pitch will be key heading into next season. Staying healthy is something he will have little control of, but he can avoid making the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The Arsenal fans haven't given up on Wilshere yet, and as of right now, neither has manager Arsene Wenger. But in many ways, 2015-16 will be a make-or-break season for the England international.
Gunners Back in for Daniele Rugani

Arsenal are reportedly still keen on Juventus' Daniele Rugani, a highly rated centre-back who spent the 2014-15 season with Empoli. According to Tuttosport (h/t Metro's Will Giles), a £13 million bid has been rejected, although Tuttosport believes the Bianconeri could still be tempted to sell during the summer.
This isn't the first time the Gunners have been linked with the 20-year-old. Back in January, Alfredo Pedulla reported on Arsenal's interest, and FourFourTwo's Adam Digby made it clear a deal was unlikely at the time.
Little has changed since then. Rugani has made his debut for the national team and will represent the Azzurri U21 at the European Championships.
He had a fantastic campaign for Empoli, becoming the only player in Serie A to play every single minute of the season. On top of that, he wasn't booked once, as noted by beIN Sports' Matteo Bonetti.
Rugani plays the game with great patience, never lunging into tackles but instead snuffing out chances with his great awareness and positioning. He's a force in the air and surprisingly quick for a centre-back, and even feels comfortable with the ball at his feet. Bonetti doesn't doubt his future.
With all that said, there is absolutely no reason Juventus would even consider selling Rugani. The Bianconeri defence is set for the near future, with the likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli in the squad, but selling Rugani because of those three would be madness.
Juventus will likely pursue some kind of loan deal to give the youngster as many minutes as possible next season, but according to GianlucaDiMarzio.com's David Amoyal, a permanent deal is out of the question.

After four consecutive Serie A titles and a trip to the Champions League final, money isn't an issue for the Bianconeri. The reported £13 million bid won't cut it, but even if the Gunners were to increase their offer, it's hard to see any scenario in which Juventus could be tempted to sell.
Wenger would love to add some more depth to his back four during the summer, but don't expect Rugani to be the one to make the move to the Emirates.
