Arsenal Transfer News: Latest on Kevin De Bruyne and Alexandre Lacazette Rumours
Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne may have aroused the interest of Arsenal, Manchester United and Europe's top clubs by suggesting he is open to a move away from the Volkswagen Arena.
David Wright of the Express links Arsenal and United to the Belgian's signature. Having failed to make it under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, De Bruyne has quickly established himself as one of the continent's most productive players since heading back to Germany.
However, he is happy to consider a move, reported by Wright: "If I leave, I have no preference where I go," said De Bruyne. "In my head, it is 95 percent I won't go to Russia or Italy. It is not my style of play. But England, Spain, France or the Bundesliga, yes. They are the best leagues. There are some very good teams. That appeals to me."

De Bruyne scored 15 goals and provided an incredible 25 assists in 45 appearances across the Bundesliga and Europa League last season, per WhoScored.com. Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking has primarily used him behind the striker in a central role, but the 23-year-old has also proved to be effective when playing on the flanks.
He loves to float into space and execute incisive passes or dribbles in an effortless manner. As highlighted by Squawka, De Bruyne's creativity ranked among the best during the 2014-15 campaign:
De Bruyne broke into Mourinho's Chelsea side during the 2013-14 season, but he managed just two Premier League starts and a substitute appearance before moving on.

The Portuguese boss utilised him in an ambitious false-nine role during the 0-0 draw away at Manchester United in that campaign, a position in which he was never going to excel. De Bruyne needs runners ahead of him, both through the middle and from the flanks, to support his passing range.
He previously ruled out returning to Chelsea while Mourinho remains in charge, telling Sport Bild (h/t Ashley Clements of the MailOnline): "I think, to be honest, that I would not return to Chelsea as long as he is in charge," said De Bruyne. "But I don't fear to return to England, or to play in Spain. I believe I can make it there."
Neil McLeman of the Mirror reports Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also interested in signing the player. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has crammed his squad full of creative, attack-minded midfielders, but De Bruyne's production could help striker Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott find early-season form next term.
Lacazette-to-PSG Reports False?

Conflicting reports over Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette continue to keep his potential move to Arsenal alive. Wright notes the Gunners, United and Liverpool's interest in the player but passes along a Get French Football News report that suggests Lacazette has signed for PSG.
Jonathan Johnson of ESPN FC denies the report is true, however:
Lacazette finished top of Ligue 1's goalscoring chart with 27 strikes during the 2014-15 campaign, beating the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani. He is pacey, incisive and, most importantly, a clinical finisher.
The Frenchman would be an excellent addition to the Premier League, particularly as he's rapidly improving at the age of 24. Lacazette recently admitted he is yet to decide on his future but would only move to an elite-level club, reported by Wright:
"I have not made my decision. I will go on holiday, leave my agent to discuss things, for him to look after all that. I am not worried.
As soon as I have decided, I want it all to happen quickly. When? That is the question. I could stay at Lyon next season and have a terrible season, I could leave and have an incredible season. Everything depends on the destination. It would have to be for a Champions League club, you don't reject them.
"
B/R UK's Andy Brassell recently looked at alternative signings Wenger could pursue:
Both De Bruyne and Lacazette would be exciting acquisitions for Arsenal. Wenger's side have added steel to their fast-paced passing style in recent times but need a couple of world-class stars to ensure they have the strength in depth needed to compete on all fronts.
Few posted better individual campaigns than De Bruyne and Lacazette in 2014-15. However, many of the continent's superpowers will know this, suggesting both players will be the subjects of transfer sagas throughout the summer.
