WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of June 1

Twitter, Instagram and Vine celebrated a motley collection of victories in the WWE world.

Squared-circle social media tipped its hat to Dean Ambrose's nearly taking home the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Kevin Owens' big win at Elimination Chamber and another successful Steve Austin podcast got some attention, too.

John Cena earned his win after Raw went off the air, when an inspiring gesture went viral.

We begin, though, with the man who took down Cena on Sunday. Owens did what he promised to do: defeat Cena in his first WWE match.

After shocking the WWE world with a pop-up powerbomb, Owens took to Twitter. His response to his emphatic 1-0 start was perfect:

The man Owens continues to try to hurt and remove from the spotlight showed us once again why WWE will not turn him heel.

Cena added to the long list of kids he has impacted for the better. On Monday night, a young boy in the audience held up a sign that read, "I am beating cancer." Cena pointed him out and saluted him during Monday's Raw, but it was their interaction after the show ended that went viral.

The clip of the United States champ bringing the ill child into the ring will moisten even the most cynical fan's eyes:

On Sunday, Ryback joined Cena and Owens in the ranks of WWE titleholders. He outlasted Sheamus, Mark Henry and others inside the Elimination Chamber to win the Intercontinental Championship.

It's The Big Guy's first title during his WWE run and potentially a means to catapult him into a much higher spot. He celebrated in a most unique way:

George Steele would be proud.

Dean Ambrose almost took home gold of his own. Going up against Seth Rollins, he seemed to have won the match after some chaos involving the referee. In the end, the referee reversed the decision and awarded The Lunatic Fringe a victory by disqualification, nullifying his title win.

Even so, the Vine video of the crowd's reaction to Ambrose's apparent win is still powerful:

The volume and passion there is a testament to how popular Ambrose is at the moment. WWE has to consider putting the belt on him for real at some point.

For now, Ambrose will have to settle for hijacking the championship. Other than an apparent title change, the match will be most remembered for Rollins' reaction to hearing that he was still champ.

On Instagram, WWE posted the image of Rollins in mid-celebration, crossed eyes and all:

That's a picture ripe for the meme treatment, if there ever was one.

Although his facial expression was much different then, Rollins had to be feeling the same emotion after defeating Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. That bit of thievery sets up a money match between Rollins and Lesnar.

When The Beast Incarnate finally comes back to the ring, his guitar-heavy music will add to the atmosphere.

WWE toyed with that music recently, composing a version that sounds as if it came straight from a 16-bit video game:

Even with that dinky music, Lesnar is still intimidating.

His manager made a notable appearance on WWE programming this week. Paul Heyman joined Stone Cole for a live interview on the WWE Network.

The road stories compelled. Heyman nailed several impressions. One of the funnier things he said was that Jewish people aren't hunters, they are furriers.

One fan had fun with that comment, and clearly Heyman approves:

A pair of graduating students had their own fun on their special day by way of a nod to Austin. One robed young man held up a championship belt before his buddy gave him a Stone Cold Stunner, turning a standard ceremony into something that spread quickly across the Internet:

The move may have earned them some fame, but it prevented them from getting their diplomas.

Jeff Tavss of Local 10 reports that the school district says the "diplomas are being withheld until a meeting with their parents next week." As long as the boys don't also emulate Austin by giving the bird and downing beers at the meeting, they should be fine.
