Reed Undergoes Surgery

Gruden said Reed will return in time for the start of training camp, per John Keim of ESPN.com.
Chris Russell of ESPN Radio 980 passed along additional comments from the head coach: "He'll be fine...It's nothing serious. just a matter of doing a little procedure and rehab it & get it ready for TC."
He was looked at last week for knee soreness during organized team activities.
Reed, 24, made 50 receptions for 465 yards in 2014. While he's shown promise as a pass-catcher in each of his first two NFL seasons, his trajectory has been consistently halted by injuries. He's appeared in only 20 of a possible 32 games, and he dealt with a hamstring problem last year.
"It's just frustrating, man," Reed said last year, per Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington. "It's just one thing after another. Just got to keep positive, just keep grinding and hopefully things will turn out for me."
Reed is still expected to be Washington's starting tight end in 2015. Logan Paulsen and Niles Paul will receive extended looks during minicamp with Reed out.
