The New Day Retains WWE Tag Team Championship at 2015 Elimination Chamber
Sunday, The New Day won the 20th Elimination Chamber match in WWE history to kick off the pay-per-view and retain the Tag Team titles.
The New Day bested five other tag teams, including Los Matadores, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, The Prime Time Players, The Ascension and The Lucha Dragons, with two teams starting in the middle and another released every four minutes.
This one was interesting even before the opening bell because Kane decided on the pre-show all three members of The New Day could participate in the match—provided they all fit in the cell together.

Kofi Kingston took to Twitter to celebrate the news:
The three managed to fit in a pod and then even interfered with the plans of The Lucha Dragons, pulling Kalisto through the top, helping The Ascension take an early advantage.
It was Kalisto who later put on a show with three teams active, climbing the ceiling to the cage's highest point and tumbling down atop the other participants. Brock Lesnar Guy emphasized the impressiveness of the athletic feat:
Unfortunately for The Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores, who attempted to get an advantage with help from El Torito, their pursuits of the title ended shortly after. The Prime Time Players then put on an epic entrance, eliminating The Ascension in large part thanks to the unbelievable strength of Titus O'Neil.
For a moment, it looked like what most expected from the match—a showdown between The New Day and Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, with the latter even getting creative and locking Xavier Woods in a pod.
The Prime Time Players caught the former champions off guard, though. Darren Young took advantage to make it just two teams left in the brutal cage.
Despite physical dominance from Titus O'Neil, the numbers game eventually caught up to his team, with Darren Young stranded outside and all three members of the New Day combining to pin the match's most dominant performer.
WWE Universe captured the post-match celebration:
The match was everything fans of the tag team division expected, with high-risk maneuvers off the top of the cage and pods, not to mention some vicious slams outside on the steel floor and against the cage itself.
Bleacher Report's Graham Matthews offered his take on the brutal encounter:
It's a disappointing result for Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, but just another example of the tag team division's growing depth. The close contention by The Prime Time Players suggests bright things in their future, too, along with the question as to why in the world they broke up in the first place.
Writer Dave Rudden threw his support behind the rising duo after the close call:
For now, though, the straps remain with a budding team that played a numbers advantage well and won the luck of the draw.
Love them or hate them, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E have a great thing going. They get plenty of reaction from crowds, and as Sunday shows, they're resourceful and skilled enough in the ring to continue to thwart a thriving division.
